Go with the bitch herself, bur research what the bitch has produced from previous litters. What they produce is more important than what they are when it comes to breeding. If they have not had litters before pick the best puppy from either litter. If they are not whelping at the same time, go with the better working bitch.

Melanie, when you get a chance, correct Luksa's kennel name. It is "z Nezbedova dvora" and her dam is Aneta z Hor Sneznych CsPKP7526.

Thanks Hukka, do you know this stuff in your head? WOW!
Any more info? titles? DOB's etc....Aneta wasn't registered so I registered her and added her to Luksa's pedigree. I have nothing behind her though. If you're getting this info online just show me the way and I'll fix it here on the PDB.
Are you from Slovakia or Czech republic? Do you have any info on Barry Asbrete or Nesie Ben-Ju? I've been searching everywhere on the net for their pics, but nothing. Just figured I'd ask.
Get a Real Dog: Good stuff, thanks!
THANKS,
Melanie

I don't think anyone can keep all that stuff in their heads:-) Have to have "paper back up". I don't have picture of Nessie but feel like I have seen picture of Barry. I will look and let you know. This info is not on line.

VHK-- My Endy vom Oberhausener Kruez daughter goes for her BH next month. If I was a better trainer, she'd get her SchH1 by September for sure. She is great in all three phases of the work, and is quite admired by my club. Do you still have Endy?

AKVeronica, yes, we still have Endy - he is doing SUPER, and we are expecting several litters from really strong working bitches later this summer/fall.
Email me at d_kiewel(at)hotmail.com if you'd like to talk about it more... glade to hear your bitch is doing so well, I knew when I set up the breeding that it would be producing special dogs!!
Melanie, my short answer would be BOTH.
When this question is more than hypothetical let us know... BTW, you could've just told us what the lines were without mentioning the actual bitch names - but no worries, I understand especially if they haven't made up their minds whether to breed to your male or not and they are only *considering it*... which means "window shopping".
Best of luck with that, i'm sure it will work out well for you!!

Hukka- THANKS, its fixed. Is this in a book you have or do you have pedigrees that go back this far? These dogs are from the 50's! Thanks for the info.
VHK, thanks:-)

Melanie

Tough call, Melli. I love Andy, but as it has been mentioned here, there's no guarentee that he IS who his pedigree said he is, nor whether the bitch you mentioned is who SHE is supposed to be. My gut instinct would sent me to the West german dog, but I would always wonder "what if...?" In a perfect world, you could keep pups from both females and make your final decision when they were old enough to demonstrate their qualities.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
