Hi, I happen to raise and show Bengals and have owned Savannahs. You are welcome to check out my site, it speaks for itself :-) Savannahs are so expensive because they are ery difficult to breed. As you can imagine crossing a 45 pound Serval on a domestic cat is not easy! Plus, gestation times are different, etc... The breed is so new they are not qualified for Champion status. They are being shown in what we call preliminary new breed or advanced new breed. They are big and gorgeous. If anyone is serious about purchasing one let me know and I will direct you to a very reputable breeder.  By the way--I now own my first working line GSD! His picture is on my ContactUs page :-)

Molly,

Thank you!  I have worked a while to get where I am now in my program. I have also shown and raised Quarter Horses my whole life. I show working-cow horses. Learning with my dog is ALL new! Fortunately I live close to Dean Calderon! I feel sorry for all the newbies I have ever started under saddle!!

Stefanie,

From one that previously showed working cow horses, reining, and cutting, at least you won't be so worried about going off course since there's only one pattern to memorize!    Well, one pattern for each level anyway.

Hi Stephanie, I will echo Molly and say that you have some great looking cats.  The silver boy is really something special, with no rib stripes, and very distinct spots.  How is his personality?  My son is almost 27, but he remembers his Bengal cat with great fondness.  It does something special to a kid to have a cat who is so affectionate, but only with them.  Like they did something special to deserve the cat's reguard.  Her royal attitude never bothered me, I was glad she loved my son.

I stand corrected about the showing--- I guess?  People are sell breeding quality Savanahs to people who are not into showing them how they can?  I know as a group, Savanah breeders are trying to be very careful with the breed in who they sell to.

I'll email you for the contact.  I am not serious right now, but in the future I would be, so it would be good to keep a watch on the site.  I appreciate the reccomendation.
