Do you know what took him?  He was not even 9 years old....  Very scary as my wonderful boy just turned 9 years old.  Hard to think of this being an age to lose them without an illness or reason.

I was looking through old posts for the 'herding people' poster, and stumbled across this post.. Dragon was one of my favorite 'poster-boy' dogs, dogs I would moon over and wish that I could have. I have longed to have one of his progeny, and have frequently asked about him, his temperment, his strengths, his weakness'...I'm so sorry to hear of his loss. Did anyone ever learn why he passed?   I am so sad to hear Dragon has passed, I have his grandson Theo Von Ryan, and
today we made our first big visit to the assisted living center to visit with the elderly, Theo
  was a BIG HIT!
Dragon was the best looking dog ever, I had never met him in person, but from what
his grandson has to offer, he has to have had an outstanding temperament.
I'm so glad I have a part of him.

So sorry for your loss.

This is Theo, I took this picture today:

Very sad to hear and my sympathies go out to everyone who knew Dragon. I am blessed to own his son, Bullet vom Schladebacher Waldchen. After hearing how everyone described Dragon's personality, I now know where Bullet gets his from. God bless!

I have two Dragon daughters (Talon vom Holtzberg x v. Dragon vom Felsenschloss) that are 2 years apart in age. My girl Tika takes after mom(always in HIGH gear!), but, Niele has the same wonderful laid-back temperment that Dragon had. When Niele is 'on', she on. When she's 'off' she is so very sweet and such a clown! I am so lucky to have such terrific progeny of this awsome stud.

Regards
