I meet Judy a little over a year ago when another breeder sent me one of her pups for training. Judy is honest and always there if you need advice or help. I now have two of her pups here and both are wonderful. I talk to her almost everyday to let her know how her "babies" are doing and she always takes time to talk to me. I have other dogs here from other breeders that wont even answer my emails when I email to let them know how the dogs are doing. I would recommend buying a pups from this kennel.

In my limited experience with her, I've found her to be a nice lady that cares a great deal about her dogs.

All the best, Jennifer

I have talked to Judy a lot recently, and I am getting a pup from her. I can't wait to pick her up at the airport!! She has been very helpful and also taught me a thing or two. Anyone is welcome to email me to see my new little girl. She is out of Eik and Cezilia, and she is a gorgeous bicolor.

Thanks

Kelly S

I have two dogs from Alt-Ostland living in my house and they are the most beautiful and easy to train dogs I have ever had. I asked Judy for a particular dog when I purchased my first puppy from her and she sent me a dog that was the perfect match. He is active and playful outside and settles right down in the house. He loves to sleep on my feet, is very gentle to my young children and is simply gorgeous. He can read my mind it seems like, tilting his head when I talk to him and picking up subtle clues. He is very quiet in the car. I wouldn't know what else to ask for. He is a true friend. Our newest dog from her kennel is a lovely little girl who has the same wonderful personality, looks amazing, has a great will to please and was just as easy to train.

Judy really cares about her dogs and loves to hear updates on how her dogs are doing. She has been wonderful to deal with.

Micheal

Its awfully nice of you to ask about a breeder with an open mind, and take what you read into consideration, chew it, come to a educated decision before you buy a dog partner in life. Its a HUGE investment emotionally, as well as monetarily...as we all know.  I have talked to countless breeders, and dealt with a few in my dog training years. Never have I come accross a more ethical and knowlagable breeder than Judy. She is a DDR "purist" in a time when people cross whatever is the magic potion of the times.  Czech/DDR....DDR/west...whatever. She has convictions and stands by them in her breedings, importing, and raising of pups.  She doesnt do whats "popular" for money sake...she does whats BEST for WORKING Dogs..and in this time there are very few who can say that. DDR dogs are what they are because of where they come from. The more breeders mix and test new things, the more the solid DDR blood lines are gone for good.  IF that doesnt tell you something Sir..then you really need to look at this. You can pull up countless "Dog de Jur' crossings on the net. Judy believes in PURE lines, and no matter what people think, she has convicitions of this, as I said.  She stands by her breedings and offspring that she brings into this world.  You cant go wrong with Judy as the breeder of your new pup.  Its a lot better to realize this now..than come back with your hat in your hand because you dealt with a money hungry breeder, that knows NOTHING of working dogs and confesses to. Let me save you a lot of heart ache..end the search with Alt Ostland kennels. You wont find a breeder who stands behind their dogs/pups like Judy does. Bar none.   I have a male pup from Judy and money down on another one. i do schutzhund sport and know of schutzhund sport people that share in my views of her Kennel...She does as much as anyone I know to keep "working dogs" i.e. German shepherds, pure and within standards set years ago.  I wish more breeders had her ethics.. once you have sold out...once you make a decision to cross borders and lines, it has effects for years to come.  Bless you Micheal and good luck in your search.

Gleisdreiecknut.

Hi Michael,

I have 4 dogs from Judy.  I am very happy and satisfied.  I have seen her give up her personal time on numerous occasions to go meet someone and deliver a pup or dog. Additionally, she absolutely won't put her kennel name on anything that she does not believe to be a good sound dog.    She really does strive to mantain the breed standard and only breed in good lines.  If she knows of an issue with a dog, she simply wont use that dog.

I have seen her stay up nights and days with very little sleep to ensure that newborn pups get the best possible chance they can have.  All of her dogs are in good health.

I have Two very drivey dogs from her and two that are more laid back.  ALL of them are good with my 11year old and my 8 month old grandbaby.  They are the picture of health and have had no issues.  Even my girl Joy, who is my protection dog is very good with kids and other dogs.

I was ripped off by a breeder in the past and trust me, i definately did my homework before I bought from another breeder.  Judy is honest and really goes out of her way to get a good match.  She REALLY loves it when owners stay in touch and keep her updated in how the dogs are progressing.  You just need to really evaluate what you are looking for in a pup before you select and tell her exactly what you want to do with the pup.

If you send me your email addy, I'll send you some pics of mine.

Good luck with your endevor and I applaud you for checking out any and all breeders before you buy.

Take care,

Val

Obviously you have nothing better to do than this. If you want her out of business then do it. All talk no action, or just leave it alone. Instead your wasting air and flapping about all this bad and not doing any action to put her out of business if that is what you want. Yes I understand that you have been burnt by her, deal with it and move on already, or put your talking into action(out of business) and do something about it if that is what you want.  By the way people have a right to change their mind the last time I checked in this great country of ours!!   I have nothing more to say.

It's not that easy, Kelly. Unfortunately, the way ASPCA works, short of finding dead, starved dogs in their kennels, they don't shut people down for this. The way to hurt a business is to make potential buyers aware of what's going on and let them vote with their wallets. If it stops being productive for her, she will quit. Hopefully, anyway. In the meantime, it's not right to allow people to get burned b/c they don't know better. What Osthugelland is more concerned with is the general manner the dogs are treated/bred/kept...I don't think this is about her getting burned. JMO.

Kelly, why did you sell Lena? Just curious b/c I was temped to buy her sister, but I couldn't bring myself to buy from Judy...and that was before I really knew.

Why don't you all start your own website  to do what you want, or put it on the bad report links thingy, or have these links on your own websites.

I sold Lena because she is small in size and I like my girls to look like males if possible. Lena has awesome drive to actually do schutzhund or even ring sport.  The girl has always been serious with biting, no play biting with her at all. She bit through my coat on my arm and drew blood, now I have a scar, it happens. She is just small in size that is why I sold her, it had nothing to do with her having the altostland kennel name.

Thank you for not going off on me with what I posted, I appreciate it.
