Shepherd Woman

by Shepherd Woman on 19 May 2007 - 23:05

The deadline for entry is past now.  It was Friday.  I went and entered Chaos on Monday to make sure that I was able to get him in.  This will be our 4th dog show.  The 3rd being on June 9th, I'm hoping.  UKC informed me that I may have finished him already, and he could very well be a champion.  They told me to call at the end of this next week to see if my points are tallied up and to find out.  That would be awesome.  I'm down by Kalamazoo.  The Premier can be found on the UKC website.  www.ukcdogs.com

I agree on the ears need to be forward and more perked   have some one throw something up in air toward the front of dog for picture and snap as soon as ears go alerted and forward    take your hand on his collar and pull slightly forward a smidge   Im no judge or jury but love a good specimen and I have watch people stack and never done it myself on gsd  only cockers ......I have a long coat and every time I breed my Uran Wildsteigerland boy with my sable female out of old west ger and Tiekerhook I get a coated puppy in the litter.......

We have some folks in our Sch. club that show at the UKC shows to get their dogs ready for a BH or just to go have some fun.  It's a great way to get young dogs out and get some life experience.

Ryan, what did you mean in your question?

He looks nice to me! Good luck at the show, you'll have to post if he gets his championship!

Thanks for the comment  : - }  As far as I know, but won't know until the end of this next week, I was told that I already finished him 2 weeks ago and he is a champion.  UKC said to call them at the end of the week and they should know by then.

I think what Ryan is referring to is the word "complete" before his name, not sure why he nit picked on that...maybe someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, lol.

Now my bitch has an "Am-bred name" it's "Frank's Red Hot Chili Pepper"...Excuse us...we didn't know any different at the time, lol.  Oh what about my Am-Bred male "Caper's Acre's Roman Legend" lol.  I hardly agree that "Complete Chaos vom Steppenwolf" sounds that Am-bred enough to comment on.

Shep woman, nice looking dog!...I'm not an expert but the stack looks nice, he really should have his ears up and forward showing a more focused expression though as other's have said.

 Regards,

Melanie

Ok, I'll try to make this really short on the explination of Chaos's name.  A year ago this June, some people set my older sisters house on fire with her and her boy friend in it!  He died, but she made it out!  She was in the hospital for 18 days with life threatening injuries.  When she got out of the hospital, we bought this GSD pup.  I told her that we had to name him something that had to do with her ordeal.  We were going to name him Jarchow's Complete Chaos, because that's how the entire summer was!   She couldn't handle a pup/dog after we bought him, so she turned ownership over to me : - }  I called the breeder and let her know and asked if I could use her kennel name because I planned on showing him.  She said yes and we came up with Complete Chaos Von Steppenwolf.  I entered him into the Premier in Kalamazoo on that weekend of the anniversary of her fire!  In memory of George, her boyfriend, and to honor her for fighting for her life and making it!  Crap, now I'm crying.  Any way, that's the story behind his name.

Whoa!  Thats serious shit.  Sorry to hear of the ordeal, thank goodness your sister made it through!

Thanks, it's been a very long year for our entire family.  They just started making arrest about Christmas time, and the trials just started not too long ago.  The first one convicted did get life with no chance of parole for murder, attempted murder, arson, and perjury.  We all have a very long road with the 8 more trials of the others involved.  All over a stupid neighborhood fued too!
