This is not about health and welfare of our dogs it is about the way we show them (double handling) that is what the KC want to stop   our enjoyment.

Bill Hardaway has always owned and worked GSD's bred for working.

I sent a piece to the Times on line, but it wasn't printed! It seems to me the K.C. and the G.S.D partnership are as far apart as they ever have been based on that article. The statement from the K.C. secretary about what has, or what hasn't been done, demonstrates the lack of agreement as to which way is forward for this breed. The comments from Jemima Harrison who made the documentary stated the dogs are a disgrace!!! I didn't know she was an authority on  dogs and shows, or was she just agreeing with the K.C. secretary. We are the only breed in the country that has it's premier show, (British Sieger) that all adults must be screened for hips and identifiable or are not allowed to be entered. On the other hand the K.C. licence champ shows and sanction judges to perform under their rules and name, but insist you cannot take into account, any deformities, such as bad hips when you are awarding a challenge certificate. Tell me!!! who is right, who is wrong, who is acting with a  responsible attitude. Bill Owen.

Well said Bill !!!  We have the evidence to prove the KC wrong, all we need is someone with a large pocket to challenge them legally under bigottry and potential loss of income to those kennels whose livelihood on selling pups and owning stud dogs heavily relies on their successful achievements at KC championship shows. Anybody thought of persuing that route ?

I am absolutely underwhelmed by the lack of leadership on this very serious issue, from our illustrious leaders. - they say people get the leaders they deserve.
perhaps "they" are right!

Did you give them permission to use Razors photograph or did they ask Lynn as i'm assuming she still owns the copyright?

We need someone with a high profile status to be a speaker to the general public - explain exactly what many GSD breeders do that is over and above the KCs so called requirements (NONE) and show the KC for its shallow and backboneless organisation which is only interested in money grabbing and not in the interest of the dogs or the breeders.

Hi Liz yes you got to laugh at the likes of him, last dog he had hip scored was back in 1996, he obviously doesnt even know about elbows.

I did try to comment but again like others they have not added mine either, probably didnt like the fact I pointed out about all the other kennels Clubs in several countries worldwide have compulsory testing of sire/dam before progeny allowed to be registered.
