Totally messed up..I just read the last couple of pages in this thread and I can't believe a comment from someone that one of these dogs should be put down because the colour pattern isn't the way they think it should be. I can see not useing the dog for breeding but to put a dog down that might make a fantastic pet for someones family just because it isn't "coloured correctly" ???? You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

I'm pretty sure, given the research thats been done on the panda's in the US, that your pup is what we consider a piebald. it is a seperate gene or mutation than what happened with the panda's. but non the less, they look very similar, only difference is the genetics.

A pic of the pup at 8 weeks.
She was one of 5 pups whelped on 7 March 09. 3 males and another female were B&G. The bitch's first litter. Her temperament is as a GSD should be & at the moment she is 2-3 kgs overweight..jpg)
