Joanro writes: As for carbon emissions what has China and India in the way of reducing factory emissions? Nothing
USA on the other hand has exceeded the required reduction of emissions all without being forced by a global pact.
LOL. USA has done just the opposite, Thanks to Scot Pruitt and Andrew Wheeler as heads of the EPA.
Andrew Wheeler has been a lobbyist for the coal company for decades.
Since they have been in office they role back on Car emission, Coal plant emissions, and on Methane emissions.
They effectively carry out the agenda of the Coal company.
China and India both ratified the Paris accord and committed to a 64% reduction by 2030.
China is the largest emitter of C02 with a annual of 10150.82 million tons followed by the USA with 5311.69 million tons and India with 2430.8 million tons.
When you realize that China has a population of approx, 1.5 Billion and India 1.4 Billion and the USA with just 326 million.
That makes the USA per person the biggest polluter of them all.

Look at the pictures in China...can not even see through the pollution, people have to wear face masks to breath because the of the pollution. You are absolutely telling lies.
You guys can't see the difference between polluted air and clear skies...must be a lefty disease.

I would venture to guess that the amount of pollution has more to due with the amount of manufacturing. And the lack of pollution control.
Not population.

How about linking your so called facts to some source, so they can be verified.

Joan: read my post again, China is the largest CO2 emitter. At least they acknowledged the problem and committed to a 64% reduction. USA has done nothing, except for private endeavors on local states.
I responded to your post witch is entirely untruth. Noticed you conveniently chose to ignore the EPA, easily verified.
Mountain Lion: The total CO2 emission of a country is averaged by the size of the population. That is because the population is expected to benefit form the emission.
Per head of your population you emit three times more CO2 then anyone els on the planet. That is the reality.
Simple maths.
I provided a link to the report issued by your own Government, i bet you did not read it. Instead you went on about big government.
Like GSD Admin said just Google.
Last post on the subject.
Take care.

The research also found that by catching a lift on strong air currents, some of the emissions from China's manufacturing industry are making their way across the Pacific to contribute to smog in the western United States. (See related "Pictures: A Rare Look Inside China's Energy Machine.")
In the study, detailed in this week's issue of the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), researchers led by Jintai Lin at Peking University in Beijing found that, in 2006 alone, about a fifth to a third of China's air pollutants—which include sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and carbon monoxide—were associated with the production of goods for export, and that about a fifth of those amounts were linked to the production of goods for the United States. (See related interactive map: "Four Ways to Look at Global Carbon Footprints.")
I'd put a link to the article but it's all over the internet so according to GSD it not necessary.
So I was right about manufacturing and pollution.
Have a nice day!

Manufacturing is where China and india etal create the poisons in the atmosphere.
Lots easier for all the America haters on here to blame the USA. They would do what the previous adminstration attempted to do and shut down all manufacturing in the USA to destroy our great country.
MAGA !!!

by Mountain Lion on 05 December 2018 - 15:12
How's China doing reducing their pollution?
Now they are exporting their pollution to the US.
No link necessary this is all over the internet.
