AHA! I called it first on Abhay being a decent sort a couple weeks ago! Yessss!
Shelly-my nephew-in-law (is that a real term?) flys A-10's. And we within 40 miles of one of the few bases they fly out of. I'm hoping he and my neice and their new baby rotate here sometime soon.
I think everyone is missing two possibilities about the Don. He could have a split personality and be both of the people he has claimed. Or he could be both of them and be a 76 year old, oversexed lesbian.
I'm 45 (but 23 in my mind), 5'1" (six feet in my mind), a pushover for an animal, a kid or my husband (who is a mixture of both in my mind), and have four children-son 25 and married, daughter 23 married and pregnant w/our first grandchild, son 15 and son 13 (all still babies in my mind). Married 26 years to a totally hot biker guy with an incredible intelligence and kindness whom I met while in the Marine Corps. Starting in SAR but have some things to overcome from time in the Corps. Getting there.
Have a two year old Showline, 8 month old show/working that is going to be my SAR dog (fingers crossed) and a 4 yr old Havanese who is the most manipulative little snot I have ever seen (aside from my daughter
).
And would really like to know how Kalibeck is doing after the surgery? Anyone heard anything?

Howdy,
I guess I could chip in, so here it goes.....
43 years old w/m, married to the same woman for 14 years now, and still happy ! We have a great son of 12 years, who just recently started boarding school. That was quite a change for all of us. When our son was about 2 years old, we decided to move to the US and come back when Chris is 6 years & has to start school. Even thought that my wife is American, born & raised in NYC, I had to go through all that imigration stuff, what a hassle ! Anyways, we stayed in Kansas City, KS for 4 years and I became a Truck driver & driverTrainer for Roehl Transport out of Marshfield, WI. I stayed with them for 3,5 years and have been in all States, except Alaska. Have been to Hawaii, but of course not with my truck !! If everything goes well, Alaska will be due in 2009 ! We now live in our house in Sankt Martin / Pfalz, surrounded by vineyards. We consider ourselfs as very furtunate to life here, but could also picture ourselfs to go back to the Us someday.
Regarding the dogs, well, I have been around GSD's pretty much all my life. I was a helper for quite a time, had to quit that because of backsurgery. Always trained dogs for other peopel, till I found out that I was taking advantage off. Started breeding 2 years ago, and cannot figure out why I didnt start earlier ! It's the best thing I ever did. Became a breedwarden in 2005.
Also, with that said surgery my job as a paramedic, which I really loved, went down the drain.
Nice post - good reading.

Um, I'll give it a whirl since I am awake and unable to sleep :)
female, 22 years (or close enough :p) In a relationship but not married, Auburn hair, 5'3, hazel eyes, and I generally take after my Italian Grandmother. I've family in Europe, mostly Italy.
I have no children O.o but I have Ruby, Jay (my father's an my soul-puppy), and dashi and bartleby, which afre both my brothers black and white cats.
I do like ditzing around on the internet...but I also have school (I study animal science with an equine emphasis with a possible future interest of studying genetics); dogs (I am a basic dog obedience instructor and am learning about protection sports (SchH, PSA and SDA) and should be learning about agility in a few months. I also *adore* photography, any kind of dancing, I am in the National Guard (medical service corps...I'll comission in december) and I am a weeeee bit of a tomboy (I luv me some diesel engines and v8s....anything LOUD :p) I also enjoy motorcycles....mostly crotch rockets
I rowed in High School and I ride horses occasionally...but most of my physical activity comes out of being in the military (and having to run a whoooooole lot O.o) I also do take some dance classes.
In one word I am quirky....I've also had people tell me my emotions follow me like a cloud...I guess I am an open book. I am pretty passive if you get on me, but pick on my loved ones and I get a little argumentative....and I am a little too blunt...but I have spent alot of time around guys in the military so it is sometimes hard for me to go into polite society and not be...well...me.
Aaaand, I would like to own a dog training business / kennel in the future...with perhaps an added consulting business on the side for helping people who would like a dog but dont necissarily know where to look or what they really want...I have placed a few shelter dogs and its turned out well...and I enjoyed it...and that was sort of the gist.
Thats me :)

Had to get this in here. This is my Granddaughter, Jocelyn with her best friend "Ada". They are truly best friends, nothing funnier than watching this dog go out to pee in a tutu. They've been playing dress-up since babyhood/puppyhod and they are just so cute together. I figured this was the best thread to post it on.
