I didn't look at Jeff's pups' info. I have no idea who the parents are, but I am betting that more thought and planning relevant to the dogs and how they will turn out was put into this litter than at least 80% of "responsibly" bred litters. Some of the "rules" that apply to "responsible" breeding are plain old stupid and they do nothing to protect the dogs at all and certainly nothing to guarantee "better" pups.
I care not if a dog is titled so long as it possesses the traits that are important to me. These things do affect PRICE, and as Molly even said, the price is reasonable for his pups, but they do not affect the quality of the resulting puppies. I have seen man,y many haphazard matches of titled, surveyed dogs that sell for lots of money that you couldn't pay me to feed. For $800, if a pup displays the traits you are looking for, I don't see how you can go wrong. I actually admire Jeff for saying "screw you" to the "rules" and doing what he thinks is right (whether we agree or not) and pricing them fairly for what they are.
I have to honestly say that I would rather deal with Jeff and take a chance on one of his pups than most of what's out there and the "breeders" selling it. Jeff is at least an honest, straight-up kind of guy. In the many years (6-7 at least) I have been sparring online w/Jeffy, I have never known him to hold anything back and I don't see him cheating anyone out of anything, ever.

That's great Jenni! I wouldn't buy a pup from Jeff if he had the last litter of GSDs on the face of the earth. But, then again he wouldn't buy a pup from me either - no matter how well bred they are, because he's stuck on his opinion of my dogs and I'm pretty sure my opinion of him (not his dogs) is pretty much spot-on! Dealing with Jeff - you can have it. His dogs are probably fine and as I said, the price is reasonable for what the parents are (or are not).

That wasn't my point. I don't care how you feel about Jeff. I think he's a pain in the ass. My point was that I think he's simply more honest about things than many "responsible" breeders who really are not so responsible as they are greedy.

@ VomMarischal So I watched the video, and I agree that you are going to let that girl get bit. Lets see her do some jumps. You GOT to make a pallisade and show the dogs jumping.
Quote: But, puppies are probably fine despite the breeder obviously not caring at all about following any of the guidelines that responsible breeders follow.
I have seen what you produce over and over and over. You have supposedly followed the guidelines that "responsible" breeders follow, and have produced not a single dog that I would feed. Sorry if that hurts, but it is the truth.
I do not need your approval as breed warden either.
Now back to puppies ! ! ! ! !
I like that female.

Who has been telling you stories about your dogs ?? LOL So, tell us all knowing, how Esko and Ki Ki are so poorly bred. After all, you follow all the guidelines and never lie about anything right ??
First try, and my pups are making you so nervous you need to come on here and insult me. I would be careful about what you say, as it is not going to be me that looks like a dumb ass here in a few years.

Jeff, now I'm curious. Post a link to the ped, please. Sorry if you did it already; I don't feel like picking through all this to find it.

LOL Jeff - now you know very well that I don't care in the least what you think about my dogs (none of which you have ever worked, met in person, spoke to their owners or seen work in person) and I certainly don't care about you, or your dogs.
I do however care about the breed, and it's "breeders" like you who are doing the breed wrong. Breeding underage, unhealth tested and untitled dogs is not the responsible way to do things. Just isn't. Simple as that. Sometimes the puppies turn out fine in spite of the lack of interest in the breeder to do things the right way. And sometimes it's the owners who find out the hard way that they get exactly what they pay for - crap. That remains to be seen.
I do not lie about anything in my program. I follow all of the rules (and yes there are rules, set by the SV and those that MOST responsible breeders who care about this type of working-bred dog follow) There are always excuses and insults given by "breeders" who don't follow the rules. Common excuses and jealousy I guess. But, yes it's a free country and you can certainly do what you want. Pity the buyers who may find out the hard way though....
Oh and Jeff, how did you do at the MR Nationals this year? Oh no, did you Fail again? Geez, and you work so hard on those excellent dogs of yours.... what's the problem? My crap dogs are doing just fine, I don't recall ever coming in dead last with any of them....you must be getting used to that though - maybe it's time to get a dog that can do the work? Maybe one that has been trained/titled by someone else, so you can just hold the leash and give commands? Or maybe you will give up and move from Mondio to an easier game. If there is an easier game? Oh, maybe flyball or something. Or, let's see - dock diving? LOLOLOLOL

LOL you want to see her jump, Jeff?
She just learned the wall a couple weeks ago. I don't like them to do much jumping til after they are a year old. But trust me, her name ain't Leapin Lizzy for nothin.

I do want to see her jump. Can she go 2.3 yet ?? It goes pretty fast really. She is doing PP ? Get that person to do Mondio with her. It is sorta, kinda, like PP I think, maybe : )
Molly, you have never had a dog that even comes close to what Buko is. Nice try though, I figure your "reverse endorsement" should get me a bunch of people looking at my breedings. Gotta remember we were all there when the pics came out with the chicken shit all over the dog food.
Try to remember that this thread is only about you if you participate. So far, I have had a great time looking at what people are producing. You just believe that you know what is right, but I remember that eagle dog and that was not what a GSD should be to me.
So post a video, or butt out ! ! ! !
