You assume I mean you when I say "genius" (no "o" in genius)??? And thanks for the damn Carly Simon song, now stuck in MY head. LOL
Waste of time. You're assuming an awful lot about how I "truely" (truly) feel instead of reading the words on the page.
I'm really sick of this waste of time.

Milly, the next point is that only the greenest of the newbies actually believe you, because everybody else knows you are a compulsive liar. The next point after that is that just because MILLY says it, MILLY thinks it's true, but she is the only one to actually FALL for that. Everybody else thinks quietly, "Yeah right Milly, it's true because you say it's true? UH HUH." Show some real proof, Milly, because your word don't count for squat.

You got me Jenni. For forgetting to spell check, I shall say 5 "Our Caleb's" and 6 "Hail Capri" in repentance.

never once has my shepherds had issues with teeth and my mastiff had no teeth issues and he was fed poor quality kibble for 12 years. he never had bad breath and he never got tartor build up. you cant say o this one dog i have met was overweight and unhealthy because of kibble each dog is highly different. just like the one corgi puppy she could have geneticaly grown slower there are many things people can say thats why scientific studys suck because every puppy is different. im not saying that the raw didnt help. if i was readly able to use raw i would because dogs like their cousins wolves are carnivores they dont need all the crap like omnivores but i am unable to so i feed the best quality kibble near me. but dont state that 100% of the time that this happens. you can come over and sniff my dogs breath if you would like. they are healthy and happy. my female her only vet visit becides her shots and xrays for ofa and puppies was when she was pukeing after giving birth in her 3 years of life she is perfictly healthy no i am not bashing on anyone im just stateing the truth there is no real way to test growth rates in puppies
inless it is done on a verry wide scale we could even do it on here.
everyones next litter or current one select 3 puppies or for me i do this for my hole litter and weigh them every 3 days and photo them. but for a control group only post 3 puppies. one bigger one in the middle and then the smallest. use the same puppie through out till it is 8 weeks old remember to keep track of the amount of food fed aswell.. then compair weights and photos. now you have to remember this is relative because each dog and bitch produce different types of puppies. it would be best for the control group to use both a sire and a dam that are of the same type of lines or have atleast a kibble and a raw of each and parents from all groups that are generaly the same size i know this may sound odd but if you have a 50 lb bitch and a 60 lb sire being compaired to a 80 lb bitch and a 100 lb sire there will be differences in the puppies by alot.
please let me know if anyone would like to do this so we can settle the dispute. i could use my current litter for kibble fed. or if we want to start new let us know and when the litter is due.

Don't know if that's gonna cut it, Michele, but it's a good start. Don't forget your Glory Be to Simon in there. LOL
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why this is such a big deal to some. Remember, this all started because Molly jumped in on mirasmom's thread about her litter, unprovoked. This did NOT start because of someone hating on kibble. Let's just keep this in perspective.
For those that are capable of doing your own research reaching your own conclusions, your dogs will show you the truth, whatever that may be. For those that aren't, then this is futile and no amount of "proof" is ever going to suffice.

I fed 100% raw for several years, and every dog looked fantastic; the pups who grew up on it, and the adults that converted to it when I got them. In Colorado, the cost for non-human grade beef and all the other added supplements was equivalent to the high quality grain-free kibble (TOTW)I've been currently feeding for 15 months now in Montana. The appearant difference now is not greatly exagerrated, but I'd say they looked noticeably better when I fed only raw. I still give them chicken quarters, necks, backs, gizzards, livers, buffalo hearts, venison and other raw food anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of the time, sometimes mixed with the dry food, sometimes a complete raw meal. They would definitely favor the natural food over the kibble, if given the choice. IMO, raw is still better, and eventually I will find a stable economic source to go back to it entirely again.

I have a pretty good idea who's going to be the next Scripps Spelling Bee winner. Starts with J and rhymes with flames.
I get a sense that raw feeders often look down on kibble feeders. Have others gotten this feeling?

I guess that's kind of true, mfh27, and I apologize for that. But what really irks me is false science, as Siantha says.

Jickie - I share my educated opinions, backed up by pictures clearly showing older dogs with clean/white teeth, extremely elderly dogs fed crap kibble food and doing fine into late-teen years, and healthy mothers with healthy puppies with full healthy coats. Very clear to anyone who cares to take note. My point of entering and remaining on this thread is not to allow "you" or anyone else to make claims about raw diet that are false and misleading to folks who might believe you.
My point has always been - feed what you want to feed. As long as it's a balanced diet and the dog is healthy to begin with, the dog will do perfectly fine on it. Crap kibble, good quality kibble, or balanced raw. They will all do great. No healthy dog is going to live longer, have less vet bills, have cleaner teeth, whelp easier or recover faster, or have a better coat/condition because they are fed a raw diet. I've already proved these claims are false with my statements backed up by clear pictures. You have not proven your claims are true.

I'd say I've given kibble more than a fair try, it's been over a year. I feel I'm pretty impartial about it, only wanting what's best for my dogs, and what they enjoy the most.
