See what I mean?  This is Halley VII.  I hope she is found soon!  If she is anything like Echo, she is a heck of a dog!

I thought you said the dog was microchipped?  If its your dog and its being held "hostage" simply contact the police and the humane society (or ask your vet if you can sign out their scanner) and find out if its your dog!

She is micro chipped. don't know if its my dog being held "hostage".  I have contacted the police and the humane society the humane society said they scanned it once and it had no M.C. but we all know they can migrate.  They told me that they WILL NOT  give me his name or address and they will not go re-scan her.

They do look alot alike and she is a heck of a dog.  We do love her very very much and we miss her terribly.  We still continue to search and will continue to do so until she is found.

Can you email him a picture of your girl or get him to email you a picture of the dog he has?  You need to convince him you won't take just any dog.  I understand him being hesitant to just give up the dog to just anyone who wants to claim it but I don't understand why he is being so difficult about cooperating with you.  Get the police to get the guys information from the HS.  Then I would try to get the police to have him at least show you the dog and it would be obvious to anyone when she recognizes you then you can get her to a vet who will scan her for additional proof she belongs to you if the HS can't be bothered.  How are you contacting him?  By email?  By cell phone?  If you have his land line you can do a search on "White Pages" on the internet and maybe figure out just where he lives.  It would be worth a try.   Keep hanging in there!  But don't focus just on this dog...it might not be her but I wouldn't give up until I knew for sure.

If I were you, I would go to the media in whatever area you think your dog might be.
That might put some pressure on the animal control and the LE to get a decent
attempt to check if the dog is yours.

Newspaper, tv station, radio, etc.

Awesome Idea GSDSRULE!!!

Still got my fingers crossed for Halley to make it home... I'm willing to bet someone found her and kept her ]

I will contact the media, Thank you.  I can't believe I didn't think of that!  I know this is gonna sound silly but someone suggested that I contact a animal communicator & I have.  Now we just have to wait for the payment to be received and we will see what she has to say.

Keep us posted.  We are all hoping you find her soon.  Surely someone has her and is just not wanting to give her up.  Keep thinking positive thoughts and as for the animal communicator...don't be setting yourself up for scams like that.  I know you are desperate but people like that prey on the desperate.  Save your money for a reward or ads etc.  I'd cancel that check if I were you.  Focus on what you know is real and don't grasp at straws.  Take a deep breath and try to come up with something new.  And never give up!

I was thinking the same thing as Deb, it sounds like desperation and I truly hope you don't get scammed... But I think I would be desperate by this point too :-(
Call every radio station too, hip hop, country, news, rock, classic, classicAL, all of them...
Hugs,
Stacy
