BTW, I saw a news item today saying polar bears are turning to other food sources now that the lack of ice is preventing them from hunting seals. http://www.upi.com/Science_News/Blog/2014/01/24/Polar-bears-forced-to-change-diet-due-to-retreating-ice/9431390589160/

That's probably WHY they're hanging around in someone's front yard!

Okay, we're going down to 1 tonight, snow will begin around midnight and will continue until 6 p.m. tomorrow. I was supposed to take Dad shopping, but I don't think I'll be getting him in and out of the Jeep in snow, hard enough in dry weather. He'll be disappointed, so I have to come up with plan B. Any ideas?

My nephew left for Penn State main campus to visit his friend, with iffy tires

, but he shoveled before he left, so I get to sit inside and watch my neighbors :)

I talked to Dad and he knows he can't go out today, so I'm going to surprise him tomorrow and introduce him to shopping online

My mother will probably kill me for creating that monster, but they don't have a computer, so it's not like he'd be able to clean out the bank accounts. She'll get over it.

Yes! I just woke up to this. The schools were closed last night in anticipation for this one. It seems to be coming down as a kind of sleet, now. YUCK. That makes is worse. Especially when it turns to freezing rain on top of this stuff!

Yeah, see Beau doing his stretch in the door? The bugger always does that while I get the cold blast of air! They both love, love, love snow. I thought someone stole him the other day because he didn't come running when I called, pronto, like he always does! The little girls were playing next door and I guess he was just so happy to watch them, and just hangout in the snow with them, he didn't hear me calling!

It is just freezing rain now, squashing the snow down! I'll send the boys out later with shovels and the snowblower. This stuff is murder on my back. I'll make the hot cocoa for them, for when they are done.
