White prisoners of war during Word War II, were held in SLAVE labor camps, barely feed, many beheaded by their captors at will. I'm including white Americans and white members of the UK , Canada, Australia etc.
That's probably the most recent documented cases of slavery available. But Whites don't count anymore on the sympathy trail.
If you go back in history far enough, every country at one time or another was conquered and their people executed or forced into slavery. So everyone has roots to slavery and unethical treatment.
Look at the murders and shootings that go on in Chicago every weekend, oh wait thats mostly black on black crime, we can't cover that blacks are being murdered and shot because it is being done by mostly other blacks.
People need to move on or we would all be back in the stoneage...
Good posts Bee & LF

LadyFrost, you do write absolute BS at times; when did I ever propose that the whole
of humanity should turn gay ?* That's in direct opposition to my argument about some
people being born gay; for 'everyone' to become gay would surely involve that totality
of choice which the pro-biblical side is arguing. Also, plenty of lesbian women do become
mothers - it matters not, from the point of view of the overall continuation of the human species,
whether those children result from choice, or accident, or heterosexual marriage with a prior
partner, or turkey-basters, or rape, or anything else.
*And when I suggested there could be a theory that gay-ness is maybe on the increase so that there
could be an evolutionary development against overcrowding the planet, I was NOT suggesting for one minute
that meant every one of us would end up being gay !
Such a pity that some posters feel so threatened by the possibility of either witnessing or themselves
getting involved in anything resembling homosexual dealings that they have to invent these swamping
spectres.

Hund~~ thanks for clarifying your thoughts ,,I do desire to understand you,,,
My thoughts : We are all born ( due to original sin ) with the predisposition to do what ought not to be done (sin) ,,, this is a biblical concept.,, keep that in mind a minute.. :)
Understand! I am not preaching ! Just want to be better understood ; same as you do,,
I came to this thread with a certain belief about " being gay". As I said right from the start, I do not believe people are born gay. Not in the way that is trying to be presented here among the non Christians. The idea I hear being presented is one of ~~this is the way I was born; therefore, God made me this way or at the very least I am helpless to be any different due to the "genetic" disposition to it. ,, From this perspective we are left to assume two things; God created folks to be the very thing he hates ( which is his prerogative for whatever purpose suits his will ) or gayness is as any other dilberate act of the will " a choice" along the way.
But either way, from a biblical perspective (and someone correct me if I am wrong with scripture and verse ) homosexuality is prohibited right along with other kinds of sin, examples adultery, fornication, drunkeness, robbery, murder etc ( though it does appear homosexuality is especially heynis) ,, which we are told to obstain from. One can no more say I was born a drunk or I was born an adulterer, then to say I was born homosexual. Not from a biblical standpoint anyway.
Now if one doesn't believe in the authority of scripture then this means nothing and thats ok by me. I am perfectly fine kicking the dust from my boots and moving on,,,
However, for those of us that do believe that scripture is in fact the very Words of God, we are under every obligation to submit to it, regardless of our feelings and inclinations. This is easier said then done I admit. With much discouragement I struggle myself with some of the before mentioned sins, but I don't insist I was born to be a fornicator. What I struggle with isn't any different then what a homosexual struggles with, in that both our contrary to Gods holy law. My desire is to fulfill that which brings me pleasure and fulfillment, but Gods desire trumpts my own, and I am obligated to submit to His,,,Is this something I do with ease? No ! And that's another thread ,,,
So, in my estimation I am left with this,, If folks are "born gay" they are still required from a biblical standpoint to abstain from the act of homosexuality.
If you don't believe that, then eat, drink, and do Mary or Larry ( or both at the same time ) ,, and never mind what the twisted theists think !!! Lol,,
Hund thanks for hearing me out,,,,I know we won't agree, but I appreciate the dialogue,,,,
**no spell check :((((

You haven't burned a witch in over a hundred years, sounds like something to be real proud of. Keep that streak going. lol @ the absurdity of your statement.
Native Americans where for the most part wiped out and you cite torture, oh my we will never get anywhere.
Utopia, lmfao, no one wants an utopia, but gays according to our constition have rights like everyone else unless you folks want to suspend the constition for gays only. Yeah that is the ticket.
And finally, the act is a choice but being attracted to a member of the same sex is not a choice no more than being attracted to the opposite sex. This is not rocket science folks this is common sense. We can't/don't control the color of our eyes, hair, whether we have mental illness, whether we are born mentally challenged, read what gays say, nope instead you want to listen to people who aren't gay who have no idea what it is like to be gay. I hate to burst your bubble but some people are born more predisposed to become addicted to whatever substance it is they like.
BTW, for someone who doesn't care (ML) you sure seem to care.

Actually I think the last burning of a Witch at the stake was around 1693...
They only killed around 20 people, that's one weekend in Chicago now a days...
Why doesn't Eric Holder address Chicago?

Yes, when all else fails, try deflection.
No matter, religion sure has a dirty stigma attached to its past. And is likely to have other dirty stigmas attached in the future.
Religion instead of being about love, turns out over the years to be more about hate, control and money.

You seemed to think it was important, listing all the past oppressed groups as deserving some special status. I know you always make a point to bring up native American's injustice from history whenever convenient. Now you can't be bothered and are too important to explain to a different thinker like me?
I think it is a cop out, myself.
I think the only question worth an answer that I care on hearing, really, is if Chaz's attraction for his lady acquaintance was altered by her views?
