Momma has a long way to go. Her pic is on the page of the rescue she went to. She will need lots of work as she was a yard dog used to produce litter after litter. She was literally almost bred to death by the 14 yr old who owned her:(I will post a link tomorrow to her picture at the rescue

Glad she's in good hands [side note: I actually DID contact this particular rescue group about this girl when we first learned of her from Bhaugh's post...].
A side note that I find rather cool [because I'm of a certain age] is that according to GSROC's page for this dog, getting her to safety included involvement by another rescue group, called Pryor's Planet...as in the late comedian, Richard Pryor. I knew he and his wife, Jennifer, were big supporters of animal rescue, and had set up a foundation but wasn't familiar with what level it worked at. I don't know why, but it makes me smile to find that Richard Pryor's legacy helped this dog escape a rough situation, in a rough neighborhood, just as he himself had done.
Well done, EVERYONE who had a hand in getting this girl safe--from the very first efforts that began right here, all the way through to where she is today!

Great to know she won't be somebody's cash cow anymore and is on her way to recovery.
