"It also maintains that within the Bible are the following teachings: That God, by His sovereign grace predestines people into salvation; that Jesus died only for those predestined; that God regenerates the individual where he is then able and wants to choose God; and that it is impossible for those who are redeemed to lose their salvation."
This is the part that is totally wrong, and could mean Hell for many who go on living as they please whether it be adultery, fornication, lying stealing, whatever. There are soooo many scriptures that are contrary to this belief that it boggles my mind how one could think it to be true.
God is a God of love and He wishes NO ONE to perish.

Really Redsable..??? Did you watch the videos in the above post??..How do you ignore the 20 verses he sighted?..Did you read my post to Shtal??..What about those verses?...Are you reading your Bible to come up with your theology about God being a god of love and wanting everyone to be saved?..It is a nice idea and I can see how you would prefer it, but it is not biblical..I suggest you stop listening to people and read your Bible..
Where are all these verses that contradict the scriptures that I posted and the ones from the videos above..???...If you are going to make claims then please support it with scripture..
And don't sight John 3: 16 unless you are prepared to interpret that verse in light of the 20 others posted here,,No plucking out verses without reading them in their context and in light of other scripture,,,
As with any other subject, you can not pick up a book say on Schutzhund or rocket science and randomly open it to any old page read a sentence and then build a whole interpretation based on that one or two or three sentences. We must read from the front to the back cover and everything in between to get the full scope of the book..

My intent was that what you believe leads people away from truth, similar like Joel Osteen on my thread, now if you please watch my video.

I watched your video Shtal, I have heard this type of preaching many times and I am familiar with this doctrine and disagree with it,,. I think I have actually heard this particular preacher before as well...
Sound biblical doctrine never leads people away from truth and I believe that all that I have posted here is sound biblical doctrine..
As far as Joel Osteen, I can not say I listen to his preaching or teaching because I know theologically I probably disagree with him ..

What?! You mean it doesn't state God wants everyone to be saved in the Bible? 1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Ruger, question. You believe the doctrine of TULIP, so with that, do you believe that all are born in a sinful state?

Hi Deana.
Arbitary election or predestination, that is without reference to the necessary perfection
of all Gods actions, springing from the essential holiness of His character,is unbiblical.
God does not force, but rather enables people to believe in Christ.
Each one is personally responsible to accept or reject Gods free offer of salvation.
Election to eternal life or eternal death is based 1-Gods offer of salvation to all people, and 2-- the individuals responce to that offer
DUET. 30:19; josh. 24:15; ZECH. 13:9; MATT. 11:27-29; JOHN 20:31;ACTS 16:31; ROM. 4:3; REV.22:17.
BASED ON THESE SCRIPTURES,ELECTION IS GODS PURPOSE TO SAVE HUMANKIND FROM THE RUIN OF SIN..
Salvation is offered to all through faith in Jesus Christ. THE PERSOND WHO ARE ELECTED TO BE SAVED ARE THOSE WHO ACCEPT GODS OFFER AND THUS BECOME HIS ELECT CHOSEN ONES. The clearest statement of this is the word of Jesus
himself,For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life
JOHN 3:16; ALSO READ 2PETER.3:9. God elects those who accept His offer of salvation and who choose to serve Him in love and obediance.
As always Deana 100% scripture.

GSDguy,,Should we also take from this verse 1Timothy 2:3 that God only wants all men to be saved?..It says all men..This is a perfect example of my point. We know from reading the "whole" of scripture that it is referring to men and women, but if we were to pluck that verse out without comparing to other scripture it could give one the impression it is referring to only men..
The, " all men" simply means NOT JUST JEWS, but gentiles as well..Jew and Gentiles...Gentile meaning the whole rest of the world Indians, Greeks, Chinese , Canadians,,lol,,and so on.., Remember a huge part of Christ ministry was about salvation being made available to those other than just Jews...
Also, are we to take from this verse that God desires something, but is unable to obtain it??...You must believe this logic, because you know that there are those who will perish ..You believe that God has unobtainable desires,,,I think that is utterly foolish and it is most certainly not biblical. God has no unobtainable desires because He is God..period!
Yes, I do believe that all are born in a sinful state,,lol,,Fully equipped and intact to sin..

Gouda, You are right God does not force people to believe. I never said that God forced people to believe. When the message of the Gospel falls on open ears and a heart of flesh than one is happy to receive it with joy!..That is a far cry from forcing...
Did you read the rest of the recent posts,,,??..I certainly hope if folks are going to participate in this discussion they read from the point they left off..I am not going to repeat and repeat and repeat,,,I already stated what I thought about some of those verses,,,
