Ok Shawnicus/Mithuna, here is my foolproof recipe for bringing out that defense drive @ 4 months.
Pick a GSD pup as early as possible. During the first three months of his life, he is very confident & curious. DON'T SOCIALIZE !!. 3 to 4 months- he needs security, so everything is perceived as a threat. Expose him to those threats, take away the flight option, but ALWAYS let the pup win. Voilà !! You now have that super fake defense bullshit @ 4 months !!

You can't teach defense , dog either has it in its genetic make up or not and if it doesn't then you break their spirit or ruin it by trying go bring it out ..you can pretend it does or even mimick it or bring it out through prey but it's just a game to the dog .. It's funny people praise a dog if it shows prey drive early on but puppy showing defense is considered a flaw , well
Not everyone is into raising b*#%#t sport dogs , I was gonna post a video of a puppy at 3.5 month showing civil drive but I don't want any of you having a conniption, and no it's not Freaking nerves , I can pretty much guarantee you I would get rid of a nervy puppy , that's just coming from people who own sable or Black and Tan Labradors out here , I don't care who u sold a dog to or what not , you and I both know u don't have a real dog but post a bunch of nonsense theories that you read on forums , post something I can get educated on , I'm
Not interested in your police certified therapy dog who babysits kids on Sunday brunch with no actual live bites , show me a maneater that works .., cause I have a few I can gladly post videos of but so far all I hear is blah blah. Don't knock someone for liking a certain style of dog just cause it doesn't fit your style.
