Mith, can you show us a wild coyote seeking human contact?

Susie, lol, love it

Now, mith, can you understand that I was giving you an example of a canine which can thrive in NYC, but not seek out human companionship? That was not meant as an argument, not even a 'fringe argument'...but it sailed right over your head.
Go find a geophysics forum and ask the members there about a vet for your dog. You might get an answer you can comprehend.

.How do we know whether or not this particular coyote 1. Is responding to an extreme survival imperative and 2. Is not afraid of people.

1. Who cares
2. Who cares

My one female is not afraid of gunfire, fireworks, tractors, ATVs, livestock, power tools, other dogs, etc. BUT, she lacks self confidence around people. If they ignore her or let her come up on her own terms she is OK. If they try to approach her she would growl, show teeth and charge. What she really wants is for them to go away. She is the first GSD I have not done bitework with.
I believe that it is a quirk in her temperament. She started acting like that when she was about 4 months old. She was raised like all my other dogs. I have had enough experience that I am able to recognize and deal with this fault.
She will growl at the vet when being examined but will allow it because she knows she has to.
