Ok I pay USCA dues but they still charged to *certify* all my DVG score books and at one point my USRC book.  I was member each time I sent in a book.  So even though other clubs pay for the judges just like a USCA club does somehow sending a judge outside the USCA is a burden? Non-USCA competitors already pay a premium at USCA trials. DVG doesn't charge non-members extra to enter their club level trials. DVG doesn't require a cerification of books and WDA doesn't  either.

2013 has a buget of 25,000.00 for the judge's college and judges travel...really?  Rules are changed about once ever 6-7 years. What on God's green Earth needs to be done in person every year that a huge amount of money couldn't be saved by having a video meeting?

Keith,

Scorebooks also support general revenue and the organization as a whole.  Why not start a judges program with USRC, take years of "smoozing" and real work with the FCI and SV to gain recognition, then forego paying those pesky additional fees to UScA?

Or, purchase a scorebook from the organization to which also you belong (UScA) without who's support the USRC would not exist.

Regards,

Kevin

Without the support of the USCA the USRC would not exist?...Can you be anymore of a sanctimonious ass?  Fortunately the USRC doesn't rely solely on USCA judges to judge events. BTW we do have a program in place.

On average 12-15 max and that includes our Championship....Out of those trials at least 2 of them host for client dogs.

You can't just go by the website as sometimes they do not get posted for whatever reason.

Keith,

Really didn't mean to be a sanctimonious ass.  What I did mean to infer was that an organization as small as the USRC in membership is not viable on its own regarding funding for judges programs, infrastructure, etc...  It necessarily must rely on others for support until it ultimately grows.

I train with a small group in Alaska.  We are not "viable" either without the support of other, stronger UScA clubs.

Seriously, no condescension intended; just an acknowledgement of a necessary reliance on others for support especially for smaller groups with lesser resources.

Sorry...after 20 plus years in the sport I'm well past the breaking point when someone states how everyone owes the GSD and the USCA . I don't remember a single time my dog passed or failed that I owed that to the USCA or the GSD breed.

Our judges program doesn't really cost the USRC that much. Most expenses are paid out of pocket by the apprentice judges.

And how many members has USRC lost over the past 5-10 years, including founding members and people, like the Leggetts, who had given their all to the organization from its inception?    75% gone?

What is USRC's position on the RKNA?   You are currently an officer of USRC, aren't you?  Would USRC be opposed to RKNA joining AWDF?  Just curious...
