Two Moons

by Two Moons on 11 November 2012 - 17:11

Bee,
you seem to have a bug up your ass lately, it's not the first time, and it seems I'm not the only one your taking it out on.
I'm sure you anticipated that too.
This is a mute point now anyway, what he might have done if elected, the man lost.
We all lost, most just don't know it.

Micaho,
I think he knows exactly where his money came from.
As for charity, people donate money to whatever for a variety of reasons, the rich can afford it and it makes them feel better about being who they are and what they did to get there.

It's is one thing to give a little when you have much, it is something else to give a lot when you have nothing.

The impression I got was spoken during the campaign by another who knows him well, the man is an expert at making himself into whatever he needs to be to achieve the goal he sets for his self like the chameleon changes to survive.

I'm glad a man who might think a god gave him everything and needs payback is not going to be our president.

Moons.

"I'm glad a man who might think a god gave him everything and needs payback is not going to be our president.."

That's too bad, Moons.  Like it or not, most of our founding fathers felt that way.  And it's not so much "payback" as "Thanksgiving" (sound familiar?)

I'm not good at math, but 10% is 10% of any amount.  He did give his salary as Governor to charity and planned to do the same with any Presidential earnings.  I suppose you'd say that's just chump change compared to what he could make selling America down the river?

Doesn't everyone want compromise?  A chameleon adapts to its environment.  Also known as flexibility.  It is how deals are made and is not necessarily indicative of a criminal character.

But you are right.  It doesn't really matter now.  I just hate to see someone still getting trashed when they're down.

Moons,

I am sorry you didn't realize that was me trying to backout gracefully. You see I realized we were talking on two different planes, and frankly, I didn't feel like defending the wrong words you keep putting in my mouth. The truth is, you have no idea how I voted, I never said. Someone is cranky and it isn't me. Just don't feel like taking your bait.

Need to clean the chlorine out of my head, maybe!  Unbelievably hot today, in the mid-sixties. I'm wearing a tank top! In November, and we had a foot of snow maybe, just the other day.

Thanksgiving was between the Pilgrims and the Indians in origin as I always understood it but it's a fine tradition today.

How can one know what someone else felt about anything speaking of founding fathers.

Anyway, bee is right time to back out gracefully.

Warm here but the front is on it's way.

You both have a good one.

Backing out slowly, Moons.

You can get an idea of what someone thinks by reading what they have written and the speeches they gave.

Thanksgiving was a holiday of fasting and feasting by the pilgrims to which the natives brought contributions.  It was considered a religious celebration initially and only recently became mostly secular.

Seems like we learned history differently in the old days.

Have a good one.

Let me tell anyone who is willing to listen with an open mind the TRUE story of Thansgiving. It was not the Indians and the Pilgrims sitting around having their little feast and being so happy that they're all homies now and all that.
The true story is there were appx 700 Pequot Indians slaughtered because they were Indians and the Governor of CT declared the day to be a great day of thanks. I am going to post 2 links. One is from a tribe up north and the other is from the Huffington Post written by a non native. So when you celebrate your traditional Thanksgiving Day might be best to really think about what you are celebrating. I call it Turkey Day and I do not and never have celebrated it. My folks were realists and told us the history that was never dared to be printed in books or taught in public schools.

The Pequot's now own the largest casino in the world, located in Ledyard CT.

They have made quite a comeback.

Yes they have and whereas my tribe puts the money into investments and programs--in other words we don't get any what is called per capita money--the Pequots do and they are all filthy rich. I have a friend in central PA who has a son up by Foxwoods and she goes up there and stays with Chuckie and gambles there. She used to send me newsletters from there. I know my tribe is pretty mixed but at least some of us still look Indian and there are some fullbloods still left. But those Pequots--none of them look Indian. In fact I saw more blacks in those newsletters than I did anything. I guess they definately got theirs back "one pull at a time"...............

That was an interesting article. I am not going to give up Thanksgiving though, because it is a family Holiday for us, and we don't have many of those.

Morning Bee. Well absolutely don't give up your family holiday and I'm not suggesting that. Just wanted the truth to be out there. And I was always one to love family gettogethers. Ours was always a reunion in the summer and then Christmas. Besides that it's Beau's first and everything is special when it's a first whether its a puppy or a human baby--any new member of a family.....................If I was part of your family as good as you cook I'd be making up get togethers. Oh the first leaf fell..............tjhe first snowflake.......LOL...
