You keep your grubby mits off my Gramps.
I only even started this because I felt sorry for mirasmom. I couldn't care less about educating fools; in fact, it's dangerous and I don't believe it should be done.
My very favorite parts are the outright, blatant LIES (hmmm, why?) and the poor comprehension of the written word. I feed my dogs whatever I have, grain-free kibble, raw, both, one or the other, and NEVER do they have diarrhea, let alone vomit, even if I switch their food every single day. I would say shitty genetics or blatant human error are to blame for that.
Today, one of my dogs at one whole 5.5lb chicken, a pound of high fat ground beef, another one ate a bunch of whiting, some shrimp, and a couple chicken leg quarters. Everyone ate some livers and some ground beef balls I whipped at them because it's fun, and a few of them got EH Primitive kibble as well. They were all alive last I checked. I will check them again on Tuesday when I give them water, unless it rains, of course.

Molly - I am amazed you would bash the corgi pup. Her coat was obviously much nicer than her litter mates, who had dull, shorter coats.
Also, she did develop slower. However, I found that to be a good thing. Why would I want my puppies to develop faster? I think the steroid filled crap in kibble caused that. I will happily feed any future GSD puppies raw and gladly watch them develop at a slower rate and protect their joints. JMHO
Just because people are bashing you, no need to get cranky to others.

The Pic above is one of my Pups, NOT' every one of us here can feed Raw to Dogs, However feeding a top quality kibble to dogs is not bad, here is a Pic of Gina at 14 weeks old, fed on a top Kibble. no change to her now at 12 months old she has grown and looks just as well and healthy

Here are more pics of the corgi pup, who Molly thinks has a bad coat and not as healthy:
11 weeks

13 weeks

4 months

5 months

Like I said, she developed slower, but I was happy about that. Don't even try to say she looked bad or unhealthy, Molly.

Here are some pictures of my last litter. Their mom was fed kibble, AvoDerm chicken and rice...

This is the dam to the pups when the litter was 6.5 weekd old.

Steve - gorgeous pup!
Just wanted to add: I don't think high quality kibble is bad to feed. I just think, in some areas, it is more cost effective to feed raw. When fed correctly, the dogs do very well on it. Plus, I can feed a dog for $30 per month thanks to my local butchers. Around here, a bag of Pedigree dog food runs $30 ... so, I can feed a healthier diet without breaking the bank by going to raw. For us, it works great.
Do I think everyone should feed raw? No. Some people can't balance it out properly or have other issues that prevent raw from working well ... ex: people who travel with their dogs frequently, people who don't live close to a good source, etc.

Yep, she whelped pups one week before that picture. Four of them. Not a large litter, not huge teats - but yes she has teats and you can see them under her beautiful thick gleaming healthy coat she maintained throughout her pregnancy and nursing :) Golly Gee Jeff - can't see her teats in this picture either can ya? LOL dipshit.

Yes, my Kibble fed dogs always look great and stay in good health 24.7 never take them to any vet except for the jabs when needed. and never have for 60 years of keeping them.
However saying that, i would try Raw if it was cost effective over here, but it is not, There is one or two companies going on Complete Food made up of Raw but Mimced with Offal, Meat of different kinds etc
But the problem there is that you have to order 2 hundred Kilos at any one time i cannot hold that much food at any one time, Plus it still works out more expensive than kibble i feed
NOW to the crunch of it. If my dogs looked bad and was costing a bomb in vets bills feeding kibble then i would have to pay out and feed the dogs on what Raw i could get, Or get rid of one Dog. Thats the way it is over here However My dogs look as well and keep as well as any Raw fed dog in my opinion. so they will stay as they are for the time being
Now once again i will say that in Europe and certainly this part of Europe Dogs on the whole are Kibble Fed. the German Shepherd owners and Breeders do not feed RAW
but you Guys buy the Dogs in bundles from here then feed Raw, Nothing wrong in that at all everyones preference and of course the Wallet
If i was to feed Raw to my dogs then i would have to live on Greens etc i could never afford a bit of meat or dish for my self thats fact
Steve1
The only thing i add to the Kibble is Salmon Oil on the morning feed, Hokamix Joint powder. and a Vitamin E capsule. all on the morning feed have done for as long as i can remember
With the evening meal i add 4 times a week some Broccali, Cabbage, or Carrotts, i cook a bit more and give it to the dogs if there is enough left over and thats it nothing fancy just as good as i can afford to give them
