Ray Reid,
I will answer you here, since you won't return my phone call...That is the reason this is on this board, I waited till after you didn't return my call before I put this on here...
I called you directly and left a message on for you to return my call...you never did, but called Linda instead...you said you didn't remember the dog..Linda did try to reach you shortly after getting the dog...You wouldn't return her phone calls either...the only time you called her back, was a couple days AFTER I called YOU...
The dog is getting too protective of her, the longer she has him, this is typical of GSD's...they feel more comfortable in their surroundings and start different behavior. She has worked with a trainer a friend of hers, that, I just found out and has had several other of my rescue dogs in her classes...She gave me a Kudos BTW also....
I don't believe she has had him 8 months either...not from what she has told me...
Anyhow, as I said earlier,,,,this all is a mute point...another case of a breeder, trainer, seller, kennel, whatever you want to call him....not following up...

All you had to do was return a phone call. You spent way more time trying to convince complete strangers of your innocence than you would have had you just called Steph back. You had your chance to do the right thing. We know every story has at least two sides. You blew it buddy. I'm not siding with the couple who surrendered the dog...I'm just saying you should have returned Steph's call. Sounds to me like you tried to help them out but you fell short and should have figured out it was a mismatch to begin with. Failing to follow up with Steph didn't help. So don't go trying to say she is wrongly accusing you...if the shoe fits, wear it.

-- I agree with this Ray Reid. Apparently this Linda Birmingham was forced to make an immediate decision after the dog warned the husband. Reid does say the dogs trainer spoke with Linda several times and all was well. So prolly this GSD Rescue was a minute type decision ... and prolly the husbands idea, not the owner.
To come on a public forum and discredit the seller, really isn't right.
Ray Reid, I would suggest you get this dog back ASAP. I do hope this Rescue returns the dog to Ray Reid.

SHE ALSO HAS EMAILS TO RAY REID FROM MONTHS AGO, TRYING TO GET SOME ANSWERS/HELP FROM HIM...HE NEVER RETURNED THE EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS...SHE IS GOING TO SEND ME THOSE EMAILS...SO WE HAVE PROOF HE DIDN'T RESPOND AS HE SHOULD HAVE..
THEY DROPPED KAI OFF TODAY. COULDN'T MAKE IT YESTERDAY, BECAUSE HER HUSBAND WANTED TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE AFTER THE GAS PROBLEM WAS FIXED.....THE DOG WAS VERY IN-TUNED TO HER. THE HUSBAND IS AND OLDER GUY AND GOING THROUGH CANCER TREATMENTS, CAN'T HEAR WELL, BURNT OUT HIS EARS WITH TREATMENTS...OR MOVE VERY WELL....HE IS A VERY NICE AND QUIET GUY. HE SAID IN THE DOGS DEFENSE THAT THEY WERE BOTH ALARMED... I SAW THE TOOTH MARKS ON HIS HAND...IT WAS ONLY A BAD SCRAPE OF THE TOOTH ABOUT 2 INCHES LONG WHERE IT RAKED THE HAND...THE DOG IMMEDIATELY RELEASED...HE STOOD BY THE DOGS CRATE THAT I PUT HIM IN WHILE LINDA WAS FILLING OUT THE SURRENDER PAPERWORK...TO SETTLE THE DOG DOWN. THIS MAN DOES CARE FOR THE DOG...LINDA HAS AGREED TO WAIT TILL THEY CAN MOVE INTO ANOTHER HOME BEFORE GETTING ANOTHER DOG. I HAD A VERY NICE 5 YR OLD BOY THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR HER, BUT SHE PREFERED TO WAIT TILL SHE COULD GIVE THE DOG A BETTER HOME...
AFTER THE DOG HAD TIME TO SETTLE DOWN...I WORKED WITH THE DOG LATER IN THE DAY...THE DOG DOES RESPOND TO GERMAN AND ENGLIS COMMANDS. I BELIEVE THEY JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE THEM. HE IS A NO PROBLEM DOG, BUT DOES NEED A FIRM HAND...I HAVE HAD HIM WITH A 12 YR OLD GIRL THAT IS VISITING WITH HER PARENTS THIS WEEKEND...HE HAS NOT SHOWN ANY AGGRESSION...
MOST DOGS KNOW THAT THEY CAN'T GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING WHEN THEY FIRST GET HERE. THEY AUTOMATICALLY KNOW THAT I MEAN BUSINESS, WHICH IS WHY I AM THE LAST CHANCE RESCUE FOR MOST OF THE GSD'S IN THE SURROUNDING STATES...I AM LITERALLY THEIR LAST HOPE IN GETTING EVALUATED AND RETRAINED BECAUSE THEY ARE USUALLY DEEMED DANGEROUS OR VISCIOUS DOGS...
PROBLEM IS WHEN THEY COME HERE THEY DON'T ACT LIKE THEY DO WHERE THEY CAME FROM...THEY KNOW THAT I MEAN BUSINESS SO THEY DON'T EVEN TRY...
THIS DOG IS NOT GOING BACK TO RAY REID NOW...HE HAD HIS CHANCE AND STILL REFUSES TO CALL ME...THIS DOG JUST NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED STRONG HANDLER...I WILL TAKE SOME BETTER PICS TOMORROW AND POST...WHILE HE WAS IN THE BIG WIRE CRATE I WAS TALKING TO HIM OUTSIDE THE KENNEL AND HE WAS COCKING HIS HEAD LISTENING LIKE HE TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD...PRETTY NICE DOG ACTUALLY PEOPLE...
THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME IN THIS...I DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE THE OWNERS, BUT WHEN I EXPERIENCE MYSELF THE PROBLEM OF THE NOT RETURNED PHONE CALL OR EVEN EMAIL ME, HE HAS MY EMAIL ON HERE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS...
