not vague at all, it is all matter and events that exist whether you believe it or not, whether you are there or not.


um, i don't believe in the Christian version of heaven and hell as taught to me in school where heaven is just up there a ways in the clouds and hell is somewhere in the center of the earth ie physical places where in heaven lambs and tigers etc lay next to each other (what do they eat, where do they poop) and everyone is young and beautiful all the time and only a certain number of  specific christians are allowed live there and similar such descriptions i find childish.

to premature to say if the universe has an end but since COBE a definitive answer may seem at least possible, seems intuitively clear to me it had a beginning, which may be not unique, cannot verify this, just a plausible belief backed by logic, measurement, reason and the unexpected apparent convergence of several strong  theories.

So, Moons, the short answer is you don't have a clue what real science practiced by real scientists is in the real world. I could tell.

vk4gsd- 4+ paragraphs to accomplish telling me that if funding were available, you're just certain science would find a way.  That for some odd reason you feel the need to "inform" me as to the way in which organized religion has attempted to manipulate the sciences to forward its agenda.  That you believe you have cause to exhort someone you don't even know, that they must "begin" to care for humanity.  You have offered very little, and what you do offer seems as misplaced as I can tell you it is misinformed.

shtal - I have no interest in "making fun" of vk4gsd, or the fact that he doesn't believe in God.  If an atheist were to tell me that I'm out of my head for believing in something I cannot prove empirically, I'm really fine with that, because I get it, and I don't blame them.  It's another story entirely for someone to attempt to forward a counter-position upon a platform (in this case science and philosophy) on which he has no command.  The substance of what he offers in that sense is fragmented, anecdotal, and incomplete, but is presented authoritatively.
