Yes and it is everyone here's right to criticize your right.  Maybe you'll think twice next time before putting yourself above the breed.  The breeder's motto should first and always be,,,,to improve their breed,,,,,,one which you obviously have missed.

With this conlusion was already said, here is the original PM I recieved when I posted my male for the first time here when he was ONLY 5 Months, I was simply sharing pictures, nothing more.

I'm not going to point out this person name, but - here is the PM back from year 2009, he introduced me as a newcomer to this board to the wonderful people that are here on this board which states that your dog will be rejected no matter what.

The dog is what it is and unless you are completely irresponsible, can not breed without your help/permission.  The people here who have issue with you are the people who have the best thing for the breed at heart.  From what I see, you seem to be selfish and only concerned with having your own way and doing whatever you want with your intact dog and THW the standard and what is best for the breed.

Dude, Sue, VM, DD all I can say is AMEN!  

Just goes to show any dog can be an "AKC certified stud dog."  What is even more mind boggling is that someone would use that dog as a Stud on their bitch.  What am I saying he probably bred it to Gouda's bitch. 

 

And so the bullsh1t continues! Schtal - I wasn't a member back in 2009 but my oldest male is way oversized for a GSD. Nobody here has said anything unpleasant about him. No body has criticised him. Nobody has slated him, or me for buying him in the first place (from normal sized GSD parents and he was no bigger than his littermates).

The difference is, I don't think he is superior to all other GSDs. He's my family member but he is just starting out in Sch so yes it is possible for an oversized male to do the sport (although he won't get far in competition).

So unless you baited and provoked already established members, nothing out of sorts would have been said int he first place.

One important lesson God had teached me while being here on this forum, I went through temptation seeing so much hate from members and because of that I became a better person, I learned how to show and have good behavior with deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

I would like to thank you guys for helping me seeing myself where I was standing and putting me in the right path after going through hell with you.

I actually DID breed an oversized bitch, 92 lbs of muscle in her prime...to a small Czech male, deliberately trying to bring the size down. It worked; her progeny were almost all within the normal ranges (and nearly all of her five puppies got SchH titles). Gee, to think I could have bred her to Shtal's male and gotten Large Old-Style German Shepherds...what a waste of a giant moneymaker, eh?

Shtal, with a male breeding like crazy to who knows HOW many females, you can do quite a lot of damage.

I think your dog is probably a pretty nice fella, but like most back yard breeders, you have tunnel vision and you make up excuses for using your male to make money.

Whatever. At least you have the gentleness of wisdom on your side.

Not to derail from this fascinating episode, but Jackie, how were subsequent generations? My concern would be that the size isn't lost; it's just waiting to express itself further down the line. Were any of the progeny bred? I had a few big dogs out of Capri (not huge, but bigger than expected) and wondered where it was coming from. I found out her sire was a monster. V rated, KKL1 anyway...they gave him a pass on size due to excellence in other areas (very intense dog), but it surprised me. Now I had my answer though. :-)
