BAZZA can you not read i have just stated that there are some German Bred dogs that i like but i would not use BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR BLOOD LINES.And where have i said that the type of German Shepherd you like is wrong i don't think i have. We have to live with what is right for us and i am quite happy  with the type of German Shepherd   which i have lived with for over 40yrs it may be wrong in your eyes that is your opinion .

Unlike you i am not trying to bully or control , what you believe in or do not believe in as far as the correct or incorrect German Shepherd should look like..
Most of you believe the KC is wrong that again is your opinion ,it is a free country  i happen to believe  the KC is right  my opinion free country free speech.
Just because i   do not comform to what you would like dosen't mean i am being derogative to the breed.
This is a Noble, Breed and we all love it in our own right..

In life anything that is not correct is wrong that is fact cannot be argued wrong is wrong correct is correct when people have something which is wrong then try to tell the rest of the world that their wrong is right that is when you end up with what we have in the UK alsatians they are not correct they are wrong SIMPLES. 99.9% of breeders owners of the correct type are right it is these people who breed for the over grown corgi type that are wrong again fact cannot be argued.

Linedancer, My reading skills are perfect thankyou. I think it maybe you who has reading problems, lets say for instance the..... The BREED STANDARD for the correct GSD??? You asked " where did i say the type of German Shepherd you like are wrong? I think by saying Alsations are correct, you are saying German Shepherds are incorrect, wrong!!!!! Or are you saying both breeds are correct?  Now even you must see that is impossible, as the only country in the world who has Alsations is the UK, in fact i would bet most other countries have never heard or seen one of them. Why do you think that is Linedancer? Is it because the small group in this country who breed Alsations, know better than the rest of the world, more than the country of origin GERMANY?  Why is the Alsatian exclusive to Britain? I really want to know your answers to this as i am dumbfounded, maybe we are all missing something.
Jaymesie, you are 100%!!!!  Linedancer..... could this maybe your " LAST COMMENT ON THIS THREAD?

Linedancer – I certainly do hope you continue posting. In fact I wish more of the people who breed the type of dog you like would post here because the rest of us are struggling to understand it and, more importantly, to understand why the Kennel Club gives any support to this type of dog.

I am genuinely puzzled by some of the things you say. You are, for instance, very categorical that you will NEVER use a German bred dog. But it is the reason you give which puzzles me. You say that the reason is that you, ‘do not know enough about their bloodlines’. This is odd because German dogs are almost certainly the most documented German Shepherd Dogs on the planet.

I have 100% German dogs and I can trace them back to the beginning of the breed if I want to. More importantly I can check their hip and elbow scores, their breed survey results, their schutzhund titles etc going back as many generations as there have been such records. I can check their co-efficient of inbreeding for 7 or 15 or however many generations if I want. I can check their ZW scores and those of their ancestors etc. This is all readily available and in the public domain. German dogs are the most completely documented (and discussed) German Shepherds that exist. For instance, type in the name of almost any of them on this site and others and you will come up with a wealth of information about most of them. There is information about them everywhere.

Now how does this compare with the type of dog you breed and show? I mean if I try to check the details of your dog Ch Linsdown Georgia where can I see the 5 or 7 generation pedigree? She is not on this site I think and so far as I can see you only post the name of the Sire and the Dam on her own web site. Where can I see the hip and elbow scores for the ancestors, their breed survey results, their working qualifications etc. I am sure these things exist for your dog’s ancestors but how does one easily access them to verify? It is easily done with German bred dogs. How is it done with your type of dog?

Well thankyou for your reply at least this time you were being civil  to me  many years ago i had a bitch called Hundae's Black Bess 00 hips, materd her to a dog Keith Greenow owned Mutz De-Los Porches  00 hips 10 lines of 00 behind him.
That was the worst litter i ever bred because 7 out of the 9 puppies had very bad hips.
It was not how i reared my puppies you may not like my type of dogs but any one will tell you how i rear my puppies ,fresh meat not tripe, good puppy meal, goats milk, eggs, veg  you name they get it.
So when this happened i decided no more .Until now because of what is going on in our breed.
Some members on here thought all i wanted was a pat on the back for starting to score that is not true but i have to start some where .
As for  the German Dogs yes it is very good and i have done some research in to one or two dogs i saw and liked but  i still  have not found a dog i would use.
So untill i do i will not use a German Bred Dog .
And no Georgia is not on here nor details.

Linedancer – There is no reason not to be civil I think. And if a person did not score in the past but does now then that is a good thing. Credit where credit is due. What I don’t understand, though, is why anyone would say they would never use a German bred dog because they do not know enough about their bloodlines. Surely more is known, and is readily available to anyone who wants to know, about German bred dogs than about any other? Whereas, so far as I can see, if anyone wants to find out about the pedigrees, health, stamina or working tests for any of your favoured type of dog that is a very hard thing to do if anyone wants to look back, say, 5 or 7 generations. Am I mistaken about this or what?

by linedancer 13 on 23 February 2010 - 12:02

No you are correct .The German side has got a log of information that was set in place many years ago and has grown with the years..
And yes with the tpye of German Shepherd i prefer it is very hard almost impossible to do  any kind  of checks all  i can do is if i see a dog i like is ask for the pedigree and then look back  and study itani i'm sure i would know most of the dogs in that pedigree.
That is why i like the American ways i can put in a dogs name i like up will come the pic and you can click on the dogs in the pedigree and see the type of animals   i traced my AMCH pedigree back to 1907 and had pics of all the dogs which was great .
Thankyou for taking the time to  talk i am really not the bitch i am made out to be.

nina,i think if we all stand back and really listen to what the other person has to say, rather than going in off the deep end ,then perhaps there would be more respect shown to one another.it would be a poor and boring old world if all and sundry was the same.

by linedancer 13 on 23 February 2010 - 15:02

Yes Noddi i agree i am the first to admit  my mouth  usually engages way before my brain but   beleive it or not i  have mellowed over  the years,   and yes it would be a very boring world if we  agreed.
With our beloved breed in the state it's in  please not pointing the finger any where and the gap is very wide   and not really sure if we can even close it a little but some how we have to try .We are all stubborn people and we all believe in what we have and why should'nt we.
