Okay, now just know you are using two meanings of "right". And just to clarify we are all living in Utopialand, as a constant to avoid any trick questions.

Yes, beeree, I did use both definitions of "right", and in the "right" places.  There are no tricks, it's all a matter of perspective, coupled with how, where and what we are taught.

So, the conclusion we MUST reach, is that Ninja is CORRECT that what he sees is different thaN what others see.  It doesn't make him WRONG and it also doesn't MAKE him SEE the same thing.   He is processing the information with his senses, the only tools he has.  He may accept that there's an explanation for his differences, but it still doesn't MAKE HIM SEE THE SAME COLOR. The only COMMON reality we have is what is right in front of us and as long as it doesn't harm someone else, we can all be RIGHT!  Fighting over whose reality is RIGHT, is WRONG.

And that's why we have wars.

The other problem you have is that one can only be responsible to change themselves, you can not compell that in me and we both be honest, and that is what matters. As long as you keep insisting I must see things your way, then you become wrong. If you want to make it your point that because you have proven the science of seeing as we understand it, dictates that there is a difference between Ninja's color sense, then I suppose it doesn't matter because  he has adapted to his disability, rendering it inconsequential to conducting his everyday life.

You want to compartmentalize, and I"m saying that's not real.

We all see things differently because of our background and circumstances, however, some things are in black and white, no grey areas.  They are fact, and not everyone is going to like it, but that doesn't change that they are fact.

We will sadly always have wars, however, it is not over the colour red,  but usually the colour green!

Perception!

It's all about perception.

beetree, what am I compartmentalizing?  Our realities can be different, based on many factors.  And you cannot FORCE your reality on another individual, no matter how "real" it is to you.  The only time the differences would matter is if it were detrimental to another person.  I'm giving you an example and you're trying trying to argue, I think it's rather funny.  Please explain "what's not real".

Red Sable, that's exactly right, and until we can learn that our differences are what should hold us together, helping each other instead of hating and fighting over something that cannot be PROVEN, we will have wars.

And, as always, Ninja got it right away!

You say,
The only time the differences would matter is if it were detrimental to another person.
Glad you got it all figured out.

People will never learn, how's that for "real".
No more argument here, you win!
LOL

By detrimental, I was referring to interfering with someone else's RIGHTS.  Do no harm to others.

Sounds like we need to yield to the downhill skiiers. Later. I must be thicker than the fog outside my window today.
