I called Hans a few years ago inquiring about purchasing a particular dog and Hans himself told me about it. Hans told me of the problem, what was being done about it and assured me I would get the AKC papers and any FCI import papers on any dog or pup I purchased from him.
Did this influence my decision to buy a dog from Hans? Absolutely! And in favor of dealing with him. Any man honest enough to freely offer all this information unasked is a straightforward honest man in my book.

I'm sorry you're not happy with the pup. If you're not happy with him or really believe he's unhealthy or a dwarf, send him back to Hans. Hans has offered to refund your purchase price and the shipping costs in full. Most breeders will refund only your purchase price if you're not happy with a pup. But Hans has gone over and beyond that and offered to pay you for the shipping both ways and hire an attorney to hold the money in escrow for you since you don't trust him to send it. You will not get a better deal anywhere from anyone. Why keep spending money on vet bills for a pup you're not happy with? Why keep a dog you don't like and make the dog suffer for it? If you don't like the dog now, you're not going to like him any more later down the road. Hans stands behind his pups so why not give him the opportunity to do it? Send the dog, get your money back and you and the dog will be happier then if you continue on this course.

Some time this fall I will be visiting friends just a bit north of Phoenix.
I sure hope to be able to stop by for a visit.
Don't let this get you down.

I don't understand why she's holding the pup for "evidence". Evidence of what? If she takes you to court and they find you were willing to refund all of her monies, they'll laugh her out the door and she'll end up paying your court costs! As a matter of fact, even if everything she says is true (which obviously neither I nor anyone else here believes), all she could hope to recoup is her money back, so I still don't understand why she'd keep the pup if she's unhappy. It doesn't make any sense.

Mercedes weighs 60-62 pounds. In the event Blabla tries to claim this is NOT the pup he sold me, he stated to me that he tattoos all of his pups so they can always be positively identified.
Photo was taken ooutside one of the kennel areas and yes it is muddy, we've had a lot of rain.
I couldn't get many shots because he was afraid of Mercedes and she kept trying to flip him onto his back and I was afraid of him being injured.

I'll ask you again. Why don't you just send the pup back?
In my prior post above:

Do the simple, right thing and simply send the dog back and get your money back.
