I did not realize that I ( myself would become ill ) If I was able I would hold out to the last dime. I was just stating my experience and did not know that I would be put up on a cross. I was in business once so I know the public and I know  some people delight in blowing hot air up someone's  Rear End. It's not my pups " people want them " but they want me to give them away. I am saying  DON'T waste a breeders TIME IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD THE DOG. And  something else it's some BREEDER'S that are bad for this. So enjoy the moment.

You are experiencing the repercussions of marketing to the wrong demographic.  Among other things but trying to keep to your core issue that you posted.

"The thing that get me the most is People that will take up hours of your time dealing with them wanting to know everything about the dog and then bring you down to your last asking price. When you think you have the sale, you find out they have no money to buy the dog."

Welcome to dogs. This is the crappy side of placing dogs but ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if you gives a rats ass about finding them the right home. I question if you would take them back if it turns out your tired of trying to weeding through the crap and just selling them. I never lower my price. I choose a price that I can live with but not too for the market. If anyone wants to barter with me, I show them the door. The person isnt buying a car and if they want to dicker, then they really arent what I want to deal with anyway. Those usually are the ones who end up selling the dog, or giving it back when the next best thing comes along.

I agree with Prager, breeding the dogs is just the beginning and such a small part. Yet you spend hours and hours trying to find the best match for what you have and that's after you have health tested and trained your dogs. Breeders here who have dogs out, working or showing and doing well, have put years into this game, thousands of dollars, and fell more than once over dogs that couldnt pass testing, died, or just didnt have what it took to make it.

Breeding is a labor of love and a lifetime commitment. Because if you truly don't love dogs, then this isn't the game for you.

I just closed the deal on selling the last of my litter . My dog will be trained as police dogs in Ky. I'm so glad that they will be used for what they was bred for. This makes it all worth it and I am proud.

Or if you truly love dogs, but can't handle most of the prospective buyers, this may not be the game for you.
