I believe Jose's intentions are good, he wants to try to keep as many people as he can from getting burned by Lehmann. Jose is a very well liked and well respected breeder here in FL; he imports the best dogs from Germany, dogs like Chacco and Peik. When he warns of a bad breeder, I listen.

That's how they reel you guys in, shatterhand....heh heh heh. Have to learn not to be so easily enchanted by a pretty face and/or a low-cut top. After all, at night, all cats are grey...

Maybe there should be a monthly reminder post that features all of the known con artists & thieves, with links to the full story for each one of 'em.

I keep begging and imploring Oli to fix the classifieds to try and weed out these people. We struggle on a daily basis to try and keep track of people like this but it can and is somewhat of a losing battle with the system we have in place. Some of the ideas we have tossed around are charging a very small fee to place a classified, in hopes buyers will then have someplace to start to look if they don't get their dog. We have also discussed using paypals login system to try and stop the scams, this way a seller can be verified and if they are not, then you risk your money by sending it to them.

Change is in the air and I am hopeful that this is one area that change will occur. In the meantime please continue to bump up these threads. It works best if members post these scams because it protects us.

Never, ever, ever, ever send a money order or western union money to anyone you do not personally know. If they will not accept any other form of payment I would move on. Most of the scams I have heard of have asked the buyer to Western Union them the money.

We just want the members to know we work tirelessly to try and track and watch these people. mrdarcy is a hawk on the classifieds and without him here the rest of us would miss a lot of these. So, we all owe mrdarcy a thank you for his relentless pursuit of these crooks.
