The top two pics above are Boba aka Mr Wonderful. Next isSister and Mauli--Sister is in front and the last is an older pic of Sister. Not much pics of her cause she doesn't like the camera. On this post will be Mauli and Voodoo.

Very nice, Vonissk. She's a great looking dog!! Who is the black  sable? I think I'll
have to have a black sable one day. They are the most striking GSD's I've seen. There is one in ny training class that is a knock out.

The darker pic of Mauli was taken this summer. You can tell she's matured. Now this isn't my dog but if I had room she would be. This is Diva and she is half pure DDR and half American. I just love her. She is so outgoing and personable. This is when she was younger--need to get new pics but I don't see her that often. This dog is over at my mentor's.

Thanks Blizten, the black sable is Mauli. She is Boba's grandaughter and Sister's neice. Believe it or not she was the product of an Oops litter. When I found out I told my mentor I want the darkest sable and the one with the best bone, There was another girl in the litter and they were almost equal in looks but I was chosen this one. Also out of this oops litter there were 5. One went for a pet, one went to SAR, one went to do drug work, her brother is a U-CH, group placer, and also trained for tracking and then Mauli. I'd say not bad for an accident..............
BTW Blitzen the black sables are my very favorites and I would have a house full of them if I could. LOL.............

Ha Ha Xeph. You can have my Caddy, mt brick house and all the bills that go with it or anything else--BUT you CANNOT have my Mauli. Our lines tend to bond to one person and she is definately my dog. That's why I said earlier about the handler issues, and how she could be anything. But she doesn't like handlers. We are barely getting her thru UKC because of that. My original plans were to try for an AKC CH in all breed and then go for at least a CD. Honestly I don't even think she would get a CGC because of the staying with a stranger part. When they did her hips my vet said she was very good and easy to handle except looking for me the whole time. Thanks for the compliment.

blitzen I can help you with the black sable. LOL Aeischa the girl in my avatar has a litter due in mid November. (hint hint) I have to say I absolutely love the black girl Voodoo! LOL not that I'm partial or anything. I'm sooo excited!!!!!!!!! yes Voodoo is coming to live with me!!! So now I have 2 of the sl guys, think it might be catching.

Donner it is catching!!!!!!  I wanted you to decide about telling about Voodoo but yes folks she is going to live with Donner and hopefully get a title or two and turn her house upside down.....................Congrats for getting a beautiful pupper.  And not only looks but all that goes with a good well bred GSD.
Also I see sad faces out there--I figure you guys need a good laugh--and I am making fun of myself so might as well join in. When I got Boba's hips done, this is when I first got in with my mentor--she said she had a bitch that when she came in season she wanted to use her with him. So I said OK. Well after that I got to thinking about OMG what will the working line people think of me and on and on, all sort of crazy thoughts. Anywaqy she brought her over and we talked and waited, then came the time and as soon as they tied I just knew a big bolt of lightening was going to come down and strike me!!!!!!  Is that stupid or what? One day we were at the shows and I told my mentor that and I thought she was going to fall out laughing..................she said what difference does it make as long as you are using good lines that have been health tested. I thought about that for quite a while and decided she was right. I also decided it didn't matter what anyone else thought of what we were doing cause the proof is in what's being produced and health testing..............And I am very pleased now.
And Donner you didn't tell me you had black sables coming up. We should have made a trade--oh yeah forgot about my mentor--don't think she would go for that..............Oh well it was a good thought anyway...........

Well I wanted to wait to tell everybody until I knew for sure. Nala is really looking forward to getting a training buddy. I think you are right it is all about just a good dog, I've seen dogs that came from pretty much unknown bloodlines that were great dogs, and all the great bloodlines started as unknown... And when the breed started there wasn't a difference in sl and wl it was all one breed.  I think when we split each side started to get further away from the original breed in different areas.  I don't have a lot of exp with the sl guys but the Nala like Voodoo is 1/2 sl (line bred on Mark Vom Haus Beck) and 1/2 wl that is the closest combination out of all my guys I think that is closest to what I would consider the ideal shepherd.  She has the drive to work, she is very versatile, beautiful to watch move, but she also is a great family pet, she adores my 2 yr old daughter, loves to cuddle on the couch, etc.  I didn't originally think I would like her she wasn't my type of dog, I just couldn't leave her where she was so I took her and now I adore her.  If somebody were to ask me what the perfect shepherd was I would say that combination.  We are looking forward to adoring Voodoo too!!
