Yup! We pulled into Big Basin Dog Training about 11:30 Saturday night. Would have been sooner but the fog in Merced was killer, slowed traffic to 30 mph for miles.  Thank you all SO much for your positive words, deeds, calls, texts, mails,  throughout this amazing(ly lengthy) journey "home."

I have a lot of great memories here at the ranch. Trying to remember all the dogs and trials I have been in (with) on the field out front, but memory fails, so--- TIME TO MAKE SOME NEW ONES I CAN REMEMBER. (at least for awhile, LOL)

I only have a little time online each day right now, no TV or internet in the apartment out back yet, and I spend most of the time I AM online searching the local job market. So... I will just direct you to the first link I saw/responded to about this trip when I logged on today.

Time to run to town on a couple of necessary errands for Portia.  Peggy is making Tri-Tip Roast and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. Mercy! I'm betting a good meal of beef and taties will go a long way towards curing this pneumonia that's giving me fits, rain or no rain! Xena loves the Pomeranians in the house, but she is saving "designer" gentics qualities for a brilliant future creating Shepahuahuas... in her dreams!  :-O  Nobody is truly convinced there isn't something other than Chihuahua in her non-existant pedigree, like maybe Dachshund? LOL x

PS- The Beast did not fall apart as we pulled in the gate, as predicted. Wouldn't have surprised anyone if she did though. Ha ha ha. It was a total pleasure to unload and park the trailer after 2.5 weeks.

Thanks Guys. I am still kinda sick, but hopefully the antibiotics I got night before last will blast the little bugs soon. There is a trial here Friday night and Saturday morning. Lots of training going on this week in prep for the event. Trial dogs have priority of course, and I am not quite up to handling in the rain, but first thing next week my dogs go back to work.

Speaking of work. I found a couple of good jobs advertised in this area today, both featuring good pay/benefits pkgs. I am well enough qualified for either one so I applied on line. Glad I brought a couple of decent "interview" outfits and a decent pair of shoes & hose when I packed my junk on the way out.
A good job would come in REAL handy about now! :-D

Time to log off and make a run for the apt in the rain. Nighty-night Folks.
