Behun, Looking at scores doesn't tell the whole picture. Do you honestly think Raiser's obedience is on a world level? His obedience doesn't compare to other trainers out there. And while Raiser may be able to talk theory with the best of them, his application as a training helper is a catastrophe. He constantly strips the bolt, and always helps the dog when the dog becomes submissive to him. He does not have good feeling and instincts as a training helper. But, you wouldn't know that because you don't have an educated eye. Again, he knows a good dog when he sees it and can explain things as good or better than anyone. No arguing that. But, you have to see what it is...and, obviously, you can't. And never will. ;-)

I'm confused, "truthserum". You said looking at scores doesn't tell you the whole picture but you asked LAV for her dog's scores? I see. It only matters when YOU ask for them, not when others site them. Gotcha.

Well let's line up his credentials next to yours.  Please enlighten us with your virtue.  Let us analyze the "scores", did the dog err on the side of strength?  I don't know, I wasn't there, were you?  Where did Finch and Dr. Raiser lose their points?  Being as the dog scored 99 in the "C" phase, I'm guessing the 4 points were sacrificed because of too much volume, not too little.  In most cases, dogs that score high in obedience are often softer bite work dogs.  98-96-99??????  I'd say that's a pretty nice balance of not only scores but of the different drives that it takes to "V" all three.  Ahhhh the educated eye, I know I wear bi-focals but I'll give it my best shot, let's see the list of your accomplishments/credentials oh learned one.  Don't give us your name, that would be too embarrassing  for you but do give us the list of successes similar to Helmut's and Bart's.  If in fact your genius surpasses theirs, I will quit the dog world and sell my leash.  Please list,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BTW, I don't remember ever extolling Helmut's prowess as a training helper.  There are plenty of helpers in the world that barely know which end of the leash goes on the dog.  I'm guessing Sharon Ronen is not such a great training helper either but as evidenced by last fall, she can train and handle a dog.  There's more to training than just being the helper, albeit the helper is extremely important, can't do the sport without one or without a good one but keep in mind that Helmut's personal helper doesn't even own a dog.  Doesn't mean he's better or worse than anyone else,,,,,,,,,,,,it's just different.

I had a hunch LAV never titled a dog because he/she works with Phil. That's why I asked...nobody that has ever achieved anything in sport seeks him out. Raiser gets points on reputation...not on what it actually is. And, Behun never gets points on reputation...because he doesn't have one. ;-)

Now that really hurt

The dog being powerful in bitework has nothing to do with obedience. That's just stone age talk...Phil, please seek knowledgable trainers in this sport...the best ones have high B & C scores now. Look at Scherk with Bendix. That dog is a lot more powerful than Raiser's dog. ;-)

There's this guy, that I think is cool, and he can beat you up. Bikes racks after third period. Them I'm going to use a winky emoticon.

Truth be told, Finch, and all of Raiser's dogs, were not powerful dogs in protection. Not one of them. Even his Bundesseiger champions. And, you do have to be a decoy to know all three phases to understand this sport. Ronin had to rely on her helper to win. Just like the Finland women all have husbands who are helpers. You can't put it together without performing decoy work. Do you disagree?
