Whoa, Melissa. Relax. Psycht simply said she persnally would've waited. That's it. She even gave benefit of the doubt by suggesting he may be SV rated...so back off. Enough all-out attacks happen on here; we don't need to invent them.

Trust me, I know how the attacks happen, and I guess I jumped the gun a little bit. I stay out of the drama and don't create it myself.

I would also be miffed if your vet who is the "best in the county" didn't notice the obvious defects in the pelvis/spine when he looked at the x-rays - or didn't mention anything about it - it's pretty obvious (once pointed out by someone who is not a vet who noticed it right away) -

that was a good link, lief.  i believe it is, infact, the first sacral vertabrae that we are looking at, here.  the one that is tilted and not lining up with the last lumber vertabrae.
and to melissa, i hope you don't feel my comments were an attack.  all my comments were made out of concern for your dog.  nothing else.  even my comment about your vet was nothing more than concern for your dog.  at this house, we have suffered through degenerative mylopathy, spondylosis, hip and elbow dysplasia.  maybe that makes me a bit more paranoid and reactive than the next guy, but we've had gsds for nearly 30 years and you're going to see a fair amount of that stuff in that length of time.  i'm sure any other old timer will agree.
i just wish you luck with the dog.

I have have a few over the years that had that condition they always denote it on the OFA cert albeit they say its not clinically signifigant  [I say why do we have to type it on there then!] ,still  they don't reccomend breeding two with the same condition I had never heard the part about the unilateral dysplasia though I will ask them about that

Great news!

I'm still waiting for Sita's results........every day is agonizing!   Well maybe not quite that bad, but the waiting sure is tough, sure wish the could get the results more quickly.
