It looks a lot like the Amish Leather harness I have from 1997.  I am sure that the quality of the leather is probably better. 

The handle is super, you can pick up the dog like a suitcase or at least get two feet off the ground.

People chuckled at my "old style" harness but I really like them.  It's good to see that I can get a new one if I need it.  I like the double thick leather and the generous buckles and the sheepskin backing on the breast plate.

Hopefully, I will get to use my equipment.

i have expensive harnesses and some not so expensive. the ones i like the best are from bridgeport.com . their origonal harness. not expensive but built just as good if not better then the more pricey ones ive bought. i most definalty use the harness when starting out a dog or a pup. i have found that with the collar, they will feel like they are getting corrections and they gas out much sooner then with a harness. they will go forward with more confidence in the harness.

i cant imagine a decoy getting on someone for using a harness. i have never seen this, just the opposite. the decoys i work with will lend  a harness to use for those who dont have one.

 where in Northern AZ? I am in Central and it isn't that far from Scottsdale SchH club.I met the head of it and he is super nice.The people there seem nice too.Don't know of any up north though. There is also Phoenix club...haven't checked that out yet.Some nice houses here in Payson AZ.Great little town too.

Payson is 5000ft and I am 7 miles up a mountain at the north end and that is 6000ft.The weather is perfect here.I don't think it ever reached 100 deg this summer.At nights it cools off and is great to have the windows open.I think only one week at night I used the a/c cause it was a bit warmer at night.(70s) To me Sedona is beautiful but over priced and TOOOO touristy!! It is bad enough here with the valley people coming up and camping and not respecting the area. It is quite the dog friendly place.There are a few places to go to eat and you can sit out on the patio with your dog.There is a dog park(not that I condone that) and there are baseball fields that you can go in and close off and let your dog run.Just pick up after it or walk it so it doesn't go in the field.(that is what I do) There are some great vets out here as well.

I use a harness for protection work with chaos.. same reasons as many others on here...Very happy with the results so far

One drawback is you can have less control.If you have a quick dog that can be slightly dirty you have to pay more attention as a handler and if you are doing helperwork to be safe

I use a harness for agitation but still have a collar for control, hooked to another leash. This saves me from skiing behind the dogs, too badly anyway.

He evidently does not like them and going by the way the Pup acted on that occasion and by the way she went last night with just a leather collar he in this case is correct, She was as you say over there Awesome Her speed is out of this world across the ground, Plus i have always used a Leather collar on a dog prior to buying this one and i will not be using the Harness again
Sunday i will try and take some photos of her on Protection but will have to get her breeder to handle her whist i take the Pic.s

I have a harness from bridgeport too. I love the construction, double stitched, padded, great handle, easy on, easy off, leather is of very good harness quality (I am very picky when it comes to leather) easy to adjust.
