It sure is cold here! I hope I don't have that heart attack!

On a serious note though, those are some excellent looking pups, all of them!
I was lucky enough to meet Aria and Anza. Both are awesome pups and will make great adult dogs. Their temperament is phenomenal, rock solid pups, and their looks put the icing on the cake. If they are anything like their mother Capri, and seem to be, the owners are very lucky! She is a dog most anyone would love to have!

Great looking dogs. I have to say look wise Alden is my favorite pup.

Alden is better looking than her "photographer" owner lets us see. I think he could do better.  She has gone from a pretty medium sable to an almost bi-color looking patterned sable. Very cool, I think. Similar to Apache. Those were the two I had a hard time telling apart at first- it was easy once I turned them over.

LOL.... yeah, roll them over.... hahaha I am having trouble keeping my girl apart from him in twighlight, kind of have to look twice! Apache is doing really well. He is now the tallest of the three, and I am hoping he is not going oversize. He upgraded to the beginners sleeve yesterday, bit it without hesitation and didnt want to give it up at all. At the end carried it all the way to the car, and finally let go after I lifted him into his crate with it. He has a very hard bite, always full, no resetting, no trashing, and pulls back very powerfully. My trainer really really likes him, and for him saying that means a ton.

I would think if he were going to be oversized, he'd be taller than he is; he's still well within, isn't he? Wasn't he 23" last time you measured him? I think he'll be ok. I hope so! He doesn't have that much more vertical growth to do; the rest should be filling out. Capri isn't oversized. I will post her Koer report as soon as I get it; should be coming soon.

I'm thrilled that you're doing so much with him and that your trainer really likes him. Yes, he's an East/West combo, but I've heard of so many trainers w/a DDR prejudice that I was a  little worried how this litter would fare in typical Sch. training. Capri is a good Sch. dog, but she's a real dog, too, and not just a sport dog. They pups seems to have gotten her "don't %$#@ with me" edge.

i never understood that prejudice. its such a cop out.

Oh, Jen,,,, he has so much grown since then! He is approx 25 inches now. A little bit give or take, as I dont have an official measuring tool. But he is a good bit taller then Tonga, and she is on the upper size end for females (60cm=23.6 inches). So, right now he appears to be still within size, but there is not much room left (around 1/2 inch). Big boy with huge paws!

I agree with the "real dog" thing. He has certainly inherited this trait and a bit more. Richard said he is like the "old style dogs", and I guess one cant get a bigger compliment than this. We also have a Javir pup at the club now. Even tho this pup is much younger, and is doing great in obedience and puppy rug work,.... one can see a difference in the demenor. Its difficult to point things out on a board. So I want to say it like this: the Javir pup will be great in the sport, Apache will be great to (they have some of the same ancesters after all), but Apache will bring more serious power, whereas the Javir pup will bring more points.

"Old style" is a hell of a compliment! That's exactly what I've been striving for and really hoped Capri was the girl to bring it. Steve was so excited about her and knew so many of the dogs in her ancestry that I had high hopes for her, and she has not disappointed me. Keeping my fingers crossed for this next litter.

I hope he doesn't get too much bigger; he's just shy of 8mos old now...so maybe he's about done. I'll take him back if he gets too big. LOL.

Keep the pictures of him coming. I always show them to my dad, too, since he stayed here w/a few of them while I was in the hospital. His favorite is Apache at (what's left of) the screen door. LMAO.

Old Style = Real Dog
New Style = Sport dog

Can anyone deny this, can a K9 be both ?
Sch and a REAL dog ?
I would of thought that a real dog, couldn't be cut out for (Sch)competition and vice versa for the Sch dog being REAL...
Could you guys view my PPD ONYX on You Tube and give your opinion if he is real and had any potential for Sch ????
Punch in  'Onyx Haus Onyx'..   Just a naturally aggressive dog IMO..
