I worked at a veterinary clinic for a few years myself while I was in university. It's a great deterrent for getting companion animals -- you get to know all of the problems, and all of the work necessary for proper husbandry. I worked at an exotics vet besides, so I would never get a green Iguana for example -- simply too difficult to keep properly in this climate. The same thing goes for 1001 other things, including boxers. We had one case where a beautiful, fit, otherwise healthy female just collapsed and died at the age of five because of her heart, and apparently it wasn't an isolated incident for her bloodline. I don't know how the breeder could countenance that, knowingly producing dogs that have a better than average chance of dying before the age of six. So much for "loving the breed"!

Escobar, 'over' and 'under' are often used as prefixes in English words, so overbreeding is acceptable. I think you could also hyphenate it: 'over-breeding', or just use two separate words. Poor, on the other hand, is not a prefix, and needs to be separated.

Oh, and just to confuse you even more, 'never the less' is written as one word: "nevertheless'!

And, if Muslims can protest over a non-Muslim reading the Koran, or even using the word "Allah" or "Mohammed", a Christian can take a stand. (A teacher received death threats when a student named a teddy bear 'Mohammed"!!)

God's last name is NOT "dammit".

I'd appreciate it very much if you would edit that out of your post.

Thank you.

I would love.....
1) Dogue de Bordeux
2) Tibetan Mastiff
3) Bullmastiff
...and for a small size dog......Norwich Terrier.

not sure if I spelled the breeds correctly?

I used to say that when I was old and gray I would have a white toy poodle and we would do our hair in the same color...old lady pink, blue or purple. Rhinestone cat eye glasses with beaded cord to hold them around my neck, pedal pusher pants and flip flops.
Truthfully, after having fallen for the GSD, I don't see me feeding anything else.

I already have Corgi's (Pembroke variety), I would also love to have a Bernese Mountain dog. Maybe when I am to old to keep my shepherds excersised I will get one. I think they are gorgeous.

STANDARD POODLES ROCK!!!!!! sorry for shouting but my girl Fluffy is awesome. i love changing her hairdos, dressing her up cute, putting ribbons in her ears......and she is twice the watchdog my gsd Spunky is......
as a child i longed to own irish setters like Big Red, and collies like Lassie and Albert Payson Terhune's Lad......
my grandparents had a sweet little Welsh terrier that i loved dearly and if they didn't have a history of going after small critters i would probably have one. i have a lot of pets that wouldn't mix well with a welshie.
tibetan mastiffs r cool. i loved Man's Best Friend.......
my best dog ever was a lab/gsd/husky and i would love to have one of each breed, all at the same time.
i was a diehard rottweiler person years ago and only switched to gsds cuz my rott couldn't keep up with me on a bike, tho right now my standard poodle fluffy runs tirelessly for hours while my gsd spunky is huffing and puffing after a few miles since i let her gain some weight, tho i still have people telling me she is too skinny.......
bernese mountain dogs and greater swissies look awesome and have a great history with the cart-pulling. i love a good working dog.
dogue de bordeaux r cool too. i love the movie Turner and Hooch.
i was heavily leaning towards getting a golden retriver right before we got fluffy but my daughter wanted a poodle. i love water dogs. poodles were bred to retrieve in the water. sadly, fluffy wants absolutely nothing to do with the water......lol......

Wouldn't mind a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Maybe a Dogo Argentino, but I've never met one as they're banned here so it's not really a 'definite' one day breed. Not sure about Dobermanns, but they are striking dogs, especially with cropped ears/docked tail. I really like American Staffordshire Terriers too.

As for smaller dogs, I've always loved the French Brittany/Épagneul Breton, English Cocker Spaniel and Pomeranian

In a few days, when I'm too old for GSDs, I'm going with Australian Cattle Dogs. Kind of a small version of a GSD, seems to me. Lots of spunk for smallish guys!

In a few days (Vom Marischal)

Days?

Looking for someone to take the dog in your icon? ;D (Seriously, your dog is beautiful!)

I've met some ACDs, and they're certainly a lot of dog!
