Some how I think that I must confirm that it is ok to keep this site on taget! Now is that target specifically german shepherd dogs / I would think so but since somehow that dog has evolved into so many different subspecies are we talking about the same animal! I am kinda racist towards red and blacks! What did I admit to being a racist! Would that be that terrible subspecies showline? dont know BTW I like everyone on this board I like them just where they are! Now being a racist does that mean I judge by appearance? I am trusting that I will get a good education here when it comes to judging dogs!

Give. Me. A. Freakin. Break.
To those of you who would insist all topics on this GENERAL TOPIC discussion board be culled to include only discussions about pedigreed purebred dogs - you're hypocritical if you post on any threads on any other topics, from Christmas Greetings to politics to jokes.
You're obviously entitled to your opinion - BUT to be so closed minded as to not even want hybrid dogs to be a topic of discussion - you're limiting your own knowledge base to your own detriment, imo.
That little tricolour Jack Russel was an ineresting looking dog. I'd like to learn more about it's breeding.

Some of the smartest dogs I've known were mixed breeds.
Dunno about crosses as much.
Heinz 57 beats half and half for me, its thicker with much more spice.

I think it's what the dog's purpose is - had a 1/2 Brittany spaniel and 1/2 golden lab - damn dog was such a good bird dog, that even when it was over 10 years old - it would bring back a grouse or a pheasant - even if we missed when we shot it (by bringing back another hunter's game, LOL!) Now THAT was a good hunting dog... :)

Yeah, but did they charge like 1200 bucks for a puppy, and advertise it internationally? Were they into 3 breeds at a time? Come on, an occasional mutt puppy is fine, but breeding them on purpose, and LOTS OF THEM, is just unethical.
I wish some persons on other breed boards would pitch in on this one, but as we have shamelessly taken it over, I doubt that anybody besides GSD people ever open the General Topic board. Actually, I find it pretty embarrassing that the CRAP that gets posted ends up on the General Topics (all breeds) board. What must they think of GSD people. Gad.

Seems like alf had three dogs for sale all adults?

I wish he'd post and tell us what he's up to. Sounds like a used dog salesman.

Young adults -- he's looking to unload the stock he didn't sell as pups. Do you notice he hasn't come back? If he did I've have some questions for him, specifically about why he's advertising the terrier as a JRT when it's not. Also about what health testing the parents of the shepadoodle had before they were bred. The answer to both questions of course is "mumble, mumble, mumble" because the fellow is a BYB at best, and a full scale mill operation at worst.
It's not about mixed breeds or someone not understanding how to use a message board for me. I have nothing against crosses, and own a dog with untraceable ancestry myself (and my previous dog was also from a shelter). It's the slimy sales tactic -- and the people apparently completely failing to recognize it -- that prompted my response.
Of course if this guy wants to prove he's legitimate he can respond with pedigrees explaining why the Jack Russell Terrier is atypically coloured (and of course that breeding combination won't happen again since it's produced dogs that no knowledgeable buyer would take), and also with pedigrees and health information for the parents of the 'doodle. Somehow I doubt I'm going to be apologizing for misjudging Alf, though.

...I guess I am rude, but honestly, I threw up in my mouth a little when remembering that first ad post. If the person is offended and does not return, I am not convinced of the loss. Be kind and educate? They aren't looking for this!

It is Fact
Crossbred Dogs are great Pets and some very intelligent i know i have owned a couple.
But this Forum is not about Cross bred Dogs and that is what this is about you cross two through bred Dogs together, You will breed Cross bred Pups it is as simple as that plus for each litter you will get different combinations of genes so the pups will look different from litter to litter,
It matters not if both parents are true bred in there breed
the progeny are still cross breds, could be called a hybrid cross but that is all, and why i say that it is if both parents are of there known breed without a cross before
But still they will be termed as cross breds no matter what fancy name you put on
PLUS No one person can make a breed without it being registered as such are these Shepadoodles so
