She amazes me more and more each time you post a pic.  Crys, if I get my act together and we make a trek to Montana this summer, I just may have to figure out how I can swing by your place to give that girl a hug in person!  Hug her for me for now.

Hey, DebiSue, I'm just curious...Everyone here is posting pics of their dogs and asking for critiques...I'd like to see your honest opinion of Oakley.  Of course, it doesn't really matter, but I am always learning, and I know no dog is perfect, so I would like to know what you think of her, and what faults you see, so I can try and learn to recognize them myself.  I know there aren't any great stacks of her, but from what I've seen of her, in person, knowing her as I do, and the pics I've posted...Seems to me her shoulder might be a little too straight....You said her rear looks good, but what about her croup, topline, pasterns, things like that?

I would just like to know for myself...

Crys - I am constantly amazed at Oakley's abilities.  I am astounded she can run and knows where everything is - it's so totally cool and unexpected.  Please keep posting about her - her lack of disability is one of the most interesting issues I have read about. 

And I have NEV ER seen an entire snowflake like that! 

I'm breaking my vacation from this board....Just this once...

Steph, the reunion would have to be planned for the middle or end of June..My oldest daughter is in school until then.  Even if my hubby can keep care of the kids while I'm gone, it would be best if I didn't vanish again before school's out.  Are we talking one day?  Multiple days?  We have to hammer out the specifics of the plans..If more than one day...I have to figure out what kind of sleeping arrangements to make.  We do have a thirty foot travel trailer we can drag over if all of us come, but if it's just me, I don't really want to drag the thing that far.  I figure it'll take me two to three tanks of gas to get there and back, without the trailer, so I'll have to save enough to afford that, plus figure out what I'll do once I get there, for lodging.  I can sleep in my truck, I guess...Not too bad in an extended cab...I don't have a clue how to set up a tent.

I look forward to meeting those who can make it, if it happens, and I'll be there if it's even remotely possible to do so.  Hopefully the price of gas will come down some more, that would make it a lot easier.

Luvdemdogs...I hadn't ever seen a full snowflake that big before..Seen lots of the tiny little ones that are almost microscopic, but to see one that was almost a half-inch across and so perfect...it was magical.  Wouldn't you know they'd fall at night, when I had only a porch light and a macro setting to work with?  There were billions of perfect flakes, but I was limited to only a handful that were sitting just right to catch the porch light and be possible to catch on my camera lens..And this was one of the only ones that actually could be clearly seen...Not enough light for a clear picture and I couldn't use the flash, or all I got was whiteout.

I should study photography...I love taking pics and I've had the wonderful luck to get some really beauties.

Steph, let me know on what dates you and DebiSue are thinking would work, and I'll see where I stand..I really want to meet some of the wonderful people from this base...There are so many.  I've missed being here, but the negativity on the board is staggering right now...And I've got far better things to do.  I check my PM's regularly, though, and my email address is attached to my profile, if you click on my username, so if anyone needs to get a hold of me, PM me or email me...I'll check back frequently.
