Not ruling out Pit based based on her overall size, more like her build. She has no physical pit characteristics, aside from being brindle, and I've never seen the black brindle on a pit.

on second look it does have a "shepherd like" tail. Possibly dutchie mix then - with lab. Or.... could be several breeds.

Had a guy stop me at the pet store the other day. He asked if her bark is deep in the chest. I said yes, she has a much bigger bark than you'd think for her size. He said that she looks like a Mountain Cur, and that he runs a kennel so he's been around them a fair amount. Whatever she is, I've come to the conclusion she's some sort of hound/hunting dog. I'm guessing Plott Hound/Mountain Cur, due to her size, coloring, and characteristics.
