I actually did buy a multiple user version of Kaspersky A/V.. Then, I realized that I was basically going to be using an anti virus program written in Russia, home of OG hackers.. Later I found out that some people who bought it were also allegedly having problems with their credit cards. I ended up just using Microsoft Security Essentials, for free.. so far, so good!

I also use the free Microsoft Essentials, as well as some other programs. I also recently changed all my passwords, just in case

Is it that people on Facebook are downloading infected executable files, or that some robot is scavenging the site looking for email addresses to do just that?
I don't worry too much, although I have anti-virus software, because I use and have always used a MAC. If I do use a PC, I am very careful about what I download. And I don't see the use of Facebook or such sites, so don't frequent them. This site here is enough to have a robot pick up an email address and cause havoc LOL.

Hodie, I wish I knew... The strange messages I was getting was from only one friend and was also being sent to me as well as about a dozen other people on her list, since it shows who else the message was sent to. And I didn't know a single person on the list, so I was pretty sure I wasn't caught on video dancing with them LOL
I had the feeling it was not from her because the title was something like this:
Is this rea lly you dan cing in this vid eo? or
Hey, I fou nd this old pic ture of y ou! Ch eck it Out!
So the red flags went up, which was why I called her. The message went to my Facebook account and I was notified by email that I had a new message from her in my FB inbox.
I never download anything anymore from FB, including games (not that I play any games on there anyway.....
