Thanks, vomRuiz and Mickey D. I love you guys for being so smart and seeing through the bullshit. Now, we've got to wake everyone else up!

Thanks for the link, Mickey D. There's a huge amount of information available here. You know.. I've never in my life owned a bully breed, but I can't help but admire them. They're fantastic dogs! Maybe, someday.. I have always been a GSD gal. But I did follow the BSL and bully breed story closely, because to me.. They always represented that "canary in the mine".
The one thing I did miss seeing is the recent updates on the Boudreaux story, that he has filed a lawsuit against HSUS, et al, and that it is moving through the stages. I hope he has his day in court and gets HSUS on the ropes. Feld Entertainment (owners of Ringling Bros, Barnum and Bailey, circus) is also taking HSUS to court under RICO laws, or so I have heard. This is sadly the way it works.. Eventually these things do get some justice, and the courts begin to realize their errors (as in "false memory syndrome") but for awhile, the bad guys have a field day. And, like someone else said here on this blog, it's always the ones that pull the "God card" or claim to be über-ethical, who are doing the crap and trying to throw everyone off their scent.. which stinks to the heavens.

Has anyone heard from Cherie Graves in awhile? I know her husband had a heart attack and passed away, then she was diagnosed with cancer. I cannot help but wonder if it was all the stress. She was really "out there" in the fight against BSL for a long, long time. I think it took a toll on her. She did a lot to raise awareness and get the news out.

Does anyone remember the terrible dog holocaust several years ago that started in Hamburg, Germany? They were going house to house, eradicating bully type dogs. People were turning them in, and they had barrels full of the carcasses. Thousands upon thousands of dogs died, some owners were attacked by mobs on the street, their dogs set on fire, and one home even had a squadron of cops show up to confiscate their dog. An officer saw the dog through the window and gave the order to kill it. His men unleashed a barrage of gunfire into the home from the outside, narrowly missing a chair in which a woman, holding an infant, had been sitting only a few minutes before.

If this isn't what civil liberties and the Bill of Rights were supposed to protect us from in the USA, I don't know WHAT the USA is really all about. I feel like I've been scammed, personally. Our courts are so often corrupt and influenced even by lobbyists and special interests, our banking institutions and their regulators are a joke. It's like "Alice in Wonderland".. Nothing is real, anymore.

Actually, there is something real.. The home, the family, your dogs and other pets and animal friends and the love you all have for one another and your neighbors (hopefully) and friends. These things are real, and we must cling to them now ever more than before. These things will get us through the hard times we may face or be facing. Even if you don't have anyone or anything in your life right now, sometimes the memory of people who loved you and believed in you is enough. I hope we all have good memories and the opportunity to make more of them. Be careful of harsh words.. Be good to those around you and appreciate your family and friends, both two legged and four legged. Take good care of one another and be careful..  All the other bullshit passes, in time.
