No. They have a tributary creek outback from the Susquehanna River. When my parents are on vacation my dogs go to test the filtering in their pool though ... LOL

I snapped these pictures today, the kids went swimming for the first time this year.

I usually go early every spring to Walmart when they first open the garden center because they do sell out early some years and they just can't be found by late summer. Although they cost more and more every year and the plastic on them gets thinner and thinner that you have to watch for weak spots, I still buy 6 for every summer because most all my dogs love them and I want all my young ones to learn to enjoy playing in them while they still have litter-mates and teach each other. I have one adult who is content to spend 20-30 minutes at a time just plopped down in hers watching the scenery and does this all day long.
Last year since Walmart ran out too early they did a huge order too late in the summer for them to sell with our short summer season and I lucked out. They had them on Clearance in the Garden Dept. for just $1.50 each so I got the last 8 of them they had so I'm all set for this year (hopefully?).
I keep one in each of my 2 dog yards and also one in each of my ppuppy pens also. The adults can get rough on them and I have 2 adults that try to drag them around and chew up the sides. I learned a couple tricks because my dogs are so hard on them.
First, when I buy them I hold them up to the ceiling Florescent lights in the store, you can see any weak spots from the molds in the bottoms/sides that way because they are thinner and I avoid these. Then, when they get a tiny stress crack on the bottom (just from being on uneven ground or a rock or something) when I empty them and rinse them at the end of the day, I buy tubes of waterproof caulk and sand or file around the tiny cracks and putty them on the outside and they can last an extra month or so that way. Okay...don't pick on me, lol, I sure try to stretch my money in todays economy and these are just some tricks that help me along.
I do empty and rinse them each night. If you don't and you get algae growth they are really a bitch to scrub out. I don't use bleach in them because of the dogs coats of course. I do clean and put them up every night, have to here or it aids the mosquitoes too much. Also kind of have to watch it here when it gets really hot for a few day stretch, the Rattlesnakes move in during the day for a drink/dip. I have learned which of my dogs will alarm when a snake moves into the dogs area's and in summer I've always got an ear open unconsciously for an alarm and sure get the dogs moved in in a hurry until I can deal with the snake. Last year had a mating couple (snakes) come in midday and lucky I had one of my alarm dogs in the main yard to alarm because both snakes were half way across the main yard heading to the closest puppy pen that had a full kiddy pool.
I've been buying kiddy pools for my dogs for over 40 years now, I remember when they were called Mr. Turtle's because that was the only brand out there for sale. A few years ago when at Walmart asking where they were located, I asked where the Mr. Turtle's were and boy, did I get a strange look from the little gal LOL She had no idea what I was asking for and was sending me to the Candy Dept.!

Yikes, Lief, how many dogs do you have? I was feeling stigmatized for having 4, your videos make me feel good!! And they're all gorgeous, too!

Yes, we have a kiddie pool, they love it, to splash in it, chew on it, & jump through it! It's mud city in no time flat! But a whole lot of fun. I used to crack up, when mine were babies, they'd stick their noses in the water & blow bubbles, then try to catch them....too funny! jackie harris

When my pups were little, they loved it. I kept it on the deck, so I could let them play & yet still easily clean up & get ready for work. When we moved it to the yard, we had other visitors, too! Didn't try the kiss, he could've been a prince! LOL! jackie harris
