Yeah, I forgot to add that I'm giving 3000 mg of quality fish oil as well as flax oil and either cod liver or A&D oil. It's taking sooooo long. I put an egg with the shell in his food, too. He's a sable that looks black & tan and the black is nice and shiny. His red points are coming darker, but his tail AAAUUUGH. Will Rogaine mess him up? If I use it will it affect his organs?

I know this sounds completely nuts but it wasn't my idea it was something some one told me down south that had horses that would rup their tails and loose hair on the dock of it....but they would put listerine mouthwash on it.They said it stimulates the hair growth. FWIW

when they say that about horses I think they use the listerine to kill muck itch which is a fungus My neighbor used to say that too

Maybe it was but they also said that it helped the hair grow back.There is also something in the equine products and I can't think of the name but my friend has used it on her horse and it does help the hair grow back.I will have to ask her about it.
