Don't be so modest Jim, Boomer is a great dog and you are a great handler. When he loses the scent, you redirect him back to the point where he was sure, and give him encouragement. You can read him really well and you understand what he needs to get back his confidence.

That kind of teamwork is why the two of you are so successful.

Kudos to Jim and Boomer.

Thanks. I agree Boomer is a great dog and he's lots of fun to work and he's a great partner.

Thanks! The guy is only 19, a blood member and the 27 warrants were all from the last month or so. He's been on a major crime spree. In addition he was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and will be facing felony gang charges as well. He confessed to everything and will be rather old before he gets out of the pen. The other two were brothers 17 and 18, also blood members. It always amazes me.

Congratulations on making your city safer and getting 3 more criminals off the streets. One thing. Yes, you have one heck of a dog. BUT, if you were not an incredible trainer, and an equally accomplished handler, he would not be anywhere near as great as he is. My hat is off to you, and if you ever want to move from your city, I hope you end up in my locality. Of course, you'd be bored to tears here, most likely.

You and Bomer may just have saved some lives!!

19 and his life, for all intents and purposes is over. Just as well. At the rate he was going, he would have cost someone their life before spring. You and Boomer helped "someone" dodge a bullet...and they may never know it.

Nice Story, Good job from Boomer , Yourself and the rest of the Guys on the job, It does show that Police Dogs make a huge inpact on Crime Congrats to all involved
