Since i last posted on here it was time for Bed there have been some 70 plus posts, amazing, I have only one more to make on this thread and it will be the finish for me and this is to Shelleys so called  friend Sontausen
If you are such a friend as you say then i trust you have done all you can to help Shelley like finances and a help in organizing her trek across the USA for if you have not then you are no friend
However if you have then please accept my profound apologies for my mistake
But again you condemn her for taking her Dogs with her including the Pregnant Female
What would you have her do Give the Dogs away to save them the trek she has made probably finish up in a Dog pound and then put down through not finding an owner for fully grown Dogs
I do not say it is right to breed a Female for Money i have said this many times but there are desperate circumstances which make people do things they normally would not do,
And in Shelley's situation an Abusive husband and a whole lack of funds and a desperate situation would drive a woman to do things which she would normally not do just to get away and whist she was at Mollies i guess the idea came between them, probably not the greatest idea but when a person is desperate they do things which should not be done
Remember when Stress sets in the mind plays tricks i know i have had it many years ago stuck in a damn place where even Snakes did not like it,  Mates gone and not knowing when it was my turn so i know what it is to be stressed and the mind goes blank But i was lucky to pull myself together and get it sorted, but Stress is the same in any situation Stress is Stress and it is not nice at all
Regards Shelley taking her Dogs with Her Yes they are probably not having a great time and it is stressful to them No Question
But look at it this way Hopefully with in a week or so Shelley and Her dogs will be where she wants to be Is it not better that the Dogs then get a good life with a Loving Owner it will have been worth  it
They are very adaptable creatures and they are happy being with there owner i have no doubt, had they gone and done the same trek with a complete stranger then they would have been affected more for they would not understand what was going on being parted from there owner,
Or as you say they should not have gone on the trek but been left behind and probably would be no more now having been put in a Dog Pound,
I would have done the same as Shelley The Dogs would have had to rough it for a few weeks and knowing they would have a good life afterwards would be worth it for the Dogs sakes otherwise they may have become unwanted Dogs and been put down
Then who would have to live with that Shelley of course and that would be a life of misery for her thinking of what she had done,
No She did right and is a brave Lady for doing so, I wish a time would come where i could shake her hand and say well done she is a very tough and loyal person and a compassionate one towards her Dogs

So now Molly is the bad guy(gal)? Friggin amazing.

Good grief, if I were to guess, there was no clear communication on the living arrangements at the beginning. Shelley probably thought she was in respite. Molly thought she was lazy. Then everything else ballooned to this.

PS, It is absolutely ridiculous to expect someone else to know how to pull your own weeds. Been there, done that. She probably would have done a better job if you two had worked on the flower beds, side by side as friends, not an indentured servant.

Molly thanks for bringing Wanda woman out to the trial. Did we learn a lesson from this?

This is a damn shame that this thread turned into a pissing match!

Shelly needed help and people gave it.
I dont know her personally sat next to her at events talked dog and had a few laughs at a Seminar.
And read her plight on the board.

Molly was very very generous in taking in a woman that was in Shelley's prediciment.
People often misunderstand arrangements - I have found from my own experiences
NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!
I dont know Molly personally only have seen her at events and seen her pics and dogs love to watch the herding!

Sometimes shit gets twisted on handshake deals or acts of kindness which sadly turn into a big pain in the ass!

Geblaut needs a bark collar or atleast a hard correction!

Its a friggin shame that all this has turned so nasty after sooooo many people on this board were giving support to Shelley money - laptops etc....where was Geblaut then.

Enough Hating - Shit happens every day
Good Luck

Quote"..."acts of kindness which sadly turn into a big pain in the ass!"

No truer words--we have all been there at one time, or another. It can be difficult to unravel the component strings for even the parties to figure out what happens sometimes.

So, Shelley should be in California today, and in Modesto by tonight. Homeward Bound, all three threads, will then be over. The new thread is either "Home Again," "The Prodigal Returns," or " Where the Heart Is," or "Phoenix Rising." Hopefully, that thread won't morph into "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" :-)

It is one of my all-time favorite Bette Davis movies!   I love the lines "But, ya arrrre, Blanche, ya arrrre..."   and "All this time...we could have been friends."

I checked a kennel I drive by on the way to work everyday.

http://www.cheadeauxkennels.com/

"$18.00 per night.

If boarding more than one dog in a single run, each additional dog is only $10.00. "

THIS is for strangers.  I mean, come on!  If I only needed to board my dog for a day or a week, $18/day, isn't so bad, but  usually decent folk charge less for longer stays, or as this boarding kennel does, gives a discount for more than one dog.

If I  had a friend who charged me $18/day/per DOG  for 5 months!!.... well, thanks but no thanks, I can find better friends, I'm sure.
