Is no one aware of the fact that Larus has bad elbows?? He was sold after he became Sieger and then returned because of the bad elbows. Maybe this is a great German secret?

Does anyone in Germany know is Larus's elbow radiographs were submitted to SV's elbow registry--or just never submitted because the condition was obvious to the vet who performed the xrays? I have heard that elbows is why Whiskey was sold to Asia.

vfg, I think that you are the MOST correct in this post and that we must look at the judging. If the judging has conflict or is truly the dog placed for the values of the dog. I often wonder why a judge would say that this is the "best" dog on this day but later plays the game and award dogs by past performance. It all appears to be a catch and perhaps politics.

As we enter the eve of the Sieger Show, I think it is worth repeating that it is well known in Germany, if not elsewhere, that Larus' elbows were x-rayed normal. He does not have elbow HD nor was he sold and returned because of bad elbows. I have it on the authority of several Kormeisters, Zuchtrichters and breeders that there is nothing wrong with Larus' elbows and that the results of the xrays are well-known. It is nothing more than a pernicious and baseless rumor. As many of you now know, Larus is a strong favorite to repeat as Sieger having already won twice under Herr Scheerer in big Landesgruppen shows. The only dog likely to challenge him is Erasmus who has also won twice under Herr Scheerer.

don't underestimate Hill & Quantum for the title. On a LG Schau it is dog and reputation. On the BSZS progency and current bloodline policy makes the difference.
