I agree that Ellute has produced a good number of very good dogs and I would like to hear from others of potential stud dogs that are out of Ellute in the United States.

I have an Ellute daughter & couldn't be happier with her. She has a super temperment & is fun to work/train with. She also has a great on/off switch. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=628741

@ NorthwoodsGSD....I have a puppy out of your dog's sister and Sid vh Pixner. Been a long long time since I have had a puppy as strong as this and yet a totally off switch in the house. Its scary good!wink.

i have an Ellute great grandson here in brisbane, australia....
the pup is a drive monster. yet has the perfect balance of aggression and rock solid nerves. yet has one of the best "off" switches i've ever seen.

I am totally enjoying my puppy out of Alline and Ellute daughter. Looking for opinions on what stud dog to use next on my Ellute daughter. Obviously the male must have an impecable temperment and working ability. any thaughts, to be honest I want to do a 2-2 on Ellute but facing some resistance.

I have a total defense Ellute kid here at the moment for a client.  He has been a problem dog since he arrived.  No prey and very handler aggressive.( I'm working him on a stick now, a leash is just too dangerous)  We have no idea if the problems were created or if he just is what he is.  I was VERY excited at the prospect of training him, hearing all of the great things about Ellute kids. We shall see where it goes.  he has another two weeks to get over this bite at every correction thing or he goes home.  I can't mess around with dogs like this forever. If I slip on the ice, he WILL be on top of me I have no illusion about that!

brynjulf,
Can you post the whole pedigree to this dog? I'm not saying it can't be caused by Ellute, but you have to take into account the other side of the pedigree as well.

Unfortunately I can not.  if it was my dog no problemo, but it is a clients dog.  I can tell you the bitch is amazing, strong nerves, good balance in drives and what a fight!  She has Kobe in her pedigree so he could come by it honestly as his sire was a dirty bugger OR his early training could have been very unfair.  Hard to tell, tis why i like to start them myself.

Brynjulf - Did the dog come around or is he still very handler aggressive?

I was thinking about you early this morning- after a night of freezing rain, the sidewalks here are covered in a thick sheet of ice. I fell this morning but fortunately, as I laid sprawled on the ground with the wind knocked out of me, the pup just pulled my hair and bit me on the nose.

Great photo EisenFaust!
