I only wish I had seen this forum before the vet treated my dog for an ear infection with BNT gooey sticky tar-like ointment. I was never told the possible side effects. It had catastophic results. The symptoms were so esoteric and unusual, I was shocked to find comments on this forum from others that mirrored exactly what happened to my dog. In hindsight, I don't believe my dog had an ear infection at all, had no symptoms whatsoever, and had gone in to the vet for an eye problem. Ironically, during checkout, there were other customers who were shocked their dogs needed treatment for ear infections, one dog displaying the same heartbreaking after-effects that we soon would as well. Several have asked why is it still on the market, with one response being 'because it works'....I would say that may be the case for severe recurring infections...unfortunately it is being dispensed indescriminately. I truly believe some vets are trying to play catch-up and recapture some of the revenue lost by the covid lockdown by unscrupulous, unnecessary add-ons. I believe the big pharma medical model has been so lucrative in the human domain, it has sadly made it's way into the veterinary world.
