i am sure many of you remember my rants about alexander dimitrov in bulgaria that he was a crook and how badly he screwed us. some of the people who read the post asked me if the reason i went to serbia was because the dogs are cheap? and stating that you get what you pay for. some readers got testy with me and asked why not just buy from a reputable breeder in america?
alexander dimitrov is a master at what he does and how he presents his dogs.
anyway i took he advise of a few and i bought a 3 year old from a boy who has been a friend of ours for 10 years. we have helped him learn how to breed the dogs, how to put up ears, nutrition, show ring and on and on.
this 3 year old that we bought had already had 2 litters.......so we waited and skipped her and then xrayed her because she had never been xrayed or dm tested she never had shots or wormings since she came from greece.
well, you guessed it moderate hip dysplasia
i asked for my money back and asked he take her and find her a pet home
no he says you find her a home and you have plenty of room
he also said "sorry" about the dysplasia and that he would refund our money but he would need to pay it off.
meanwhile we bred 2 females fully tested cleared for breeding progesterone right where it should have been to his VA male
yup you guessed it they both missed...he says his vet said it is not his dogs fault.
just seems to me that the older the boy gets the more he hangs out with the wrong people the more of a crook he becomes
i have sent letters and phone calls.i also set up a payment schedule for him.. one time 3 months ago he actually answered the phone and said "do what you want i don't care, tell everyone get a lawyer do what you want"
i spayed the female and i found her a home thru a rescue meanwhile all i want is my money back .
so now i have to say beware scammers are also here and can also be one of your closest friends

Money and ego is able to destroy any moral. A very talented, engaged person.
Try to learn the rules of the "game", only facts do count, no promises.
Outside of training/breeding teams there is not much loyalty...

Ýou knowingly bought an untested female, your own fault ( may sound harsh, but you learned that lesson).
The 2 females who didn't become pregnant should get another mating for free. That's part of the business.
Äll the best!

If you're determined to keep at it, hopefully by now you've figured out that you should only purchase an adult dog which has had it's hips and elbows fully certified [suggest you insist on the spine being examined as well], had it's dentition certified as correct, has a certificate of veterinary examination with a negative brucellosis test dated no more than 30 days prior to your receipt of the dog, and if it's an intact male, a semen quality report. If you're using a stud dog belonging to someone else, insist on seeing the brucellosis test and semen quality results done no more than 30 days before you put your bitch to him.
As the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."
