Greetings all;
I have been offered a 10 week old male puppy from Drago Denbrix and Jesse Denbrix (see breeding match here:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/breeding.result?father=586918&mother=2306386
My desire is to get a a WL dog with the following traits:
First and foremost - rock solid nerves, clear head, discerning, and confident
Second Tier - biddable, balanced (medium) drives, ability to settle
I have a moderate degree of experience with Shepherds; I belong to a club and train regularly; I plan to pursue a BH, and perhaps seek a therapy certification with my canine friend.
Could you experts please offer an opinion on this pup? Does he fit the bill for what I want, or is he somewhat off the mark?
Your input is greatly appreciated!!!

You might get higher than medium drives from this combo.

I am not seeing a medium-drive therapy dog. I see potential for rather low thresholds and very high prey drive...not a litter I would bank on for your "want list."

You're quite welcome either way :)

Some puppies/dogs have nice pedigrees and have nice working ability (drive/energy) but can still be calm enough for you to accomplish what you want...
But the key is to understand that "puppies" are a crap shoot...meaning you don't know what they'll mature into...If you want to be sure of what you're getting then you might consider a young adult...say 10 months to a year old...Then you're pretty darn sure of what you're getting...It might save you headaches and time...
